I dunno. I mean what's a dunny or a sheila! Crazy language.

No seriously, TheFryMan the voices will be the same. Unless toilets or women are mentioned, then they would need to be Auzzie translation

Americans speak American English, which suprisingly isn't much different from what we speak in the UK.

However, I would *love* to see an ep dubbed in "proper" English, with lots of "tally ho"s and "toodle pip"s. Would be so funny!

Has anyone's Season4 set shipped yet? I live in the US, but ordered the region 2 set from Amazon UK. I was hoping it would ship soon, so I could have the set in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

I've deliberately been avoiding watching the Season 4 episodes on Cartoon Network, so I could enjoy them on my DVD. Hope I won't have to wait too much longer!

Nope, not yet. I wouldn't get your hopes up for it to be shipped before the 24th (maybe not even then, depending on your position in the queue).

Usually Amazon UK ship on release day, especially when it's a Monday. Although I have known them to ship before release and on Sundays, it's happened very rarely to me.

I'm English and I don't think i've ever said or heard anyone say "toodle pip" or "tally ho". It's just a myth. Just like the myth that all American are obese, shotgun owning cowboys who don't 'get' subtal humour....oh wait.

I'm just kidding BTW.

Lol, I'm Scottish and I'm well aware no one says those funny phrases. But they *are* funny, and are good to use to mock posh English people.

The last person I heard using the phrase "Tally Ho" was Robert Picardo on Voyager.

Awesome! Cloberella and a pregnant Kif on the cover of disc 1, Roberto, young Hermes, Nibbler and Seymour on 2, Nannybot and the Human Horn dealer on 3 and wooden Bender on 4.

Oh, and you all probably know this already, but the cardboard sleeve is GLOW IN THE DARK!!! How cool is that?

My discs actually arrived yesterday (Friday), so I've already watched them through once and then again with commentary. There doesn't seem to be as much of DiMaggio as normal, but there's tons of Maurice LaMarche, which makes up for it.

The menus are great with a cool random thing, and I've actually managed to find an Easter Egg(table read for TDHAIP), which is a real achievement for me!

Seriously, this is easily the best lot of DVDs. (I was about to put 'so far', but then I remembered  :(  )

I just found this amusing quote on the emire mag for forum. It proves we are not alone in our hatred for Fox.

Man this is all so stressful. You're all bitting your nails waiting, watching, and hoping Amazon etc get your order out for Monday. I canceled my online Amazon order weeks ago because I realised how frustrating waiting is. I'm getting mine from WhSmith for £29.99 first thing Monday morning. This way I know i'll have it ASAP (unless I get hit by a bus on the way there.........OH my god i'd be killed!".
Maybe it's a bit late by now, but i'd advise anyone in the UK to do the same (by that I mean buy the DVDs.....not get hit by a bus).

Oh yeah I nearly forgot. I saw two trailers for the DVD today on E4 and Sky One. They were both different, I don't know how many versions are out there. I remember the first said something like "Buy Futurama Season 4 on DVD". It then shows a clip of Fry saying "Give several reason why". Then it shows bits of the special features. The pack shots had a weird green and purple background instead of a starfield like in the main trailer. The last shot of the trailer shows Fry and the gang watching TV Fry says "This show's been going down hill since season 3"   :laff: Funny but untrue.

I also remember that both versions used the shot of Bender shooting the crossbow arrow through his 'eyes' at the begining.
Anyone else catch them?
