I am looking forward to it, but someone said on ebgames.com it's ruining the series, which bummed a bit.  What are your thoughts?

I can't wait for this game to come out.  I was hoping that I would be able to buy it for my GameCube, but I can't, so I'll just buy it for my brother's Playstation 2.

Amazon.com shows that the game will be coming out in the states for PS2, Xbox and GC. But Vivendi Universal Games  http://www.vugames.com  only shows PS2 and Xbox versions. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I asked the Vivendi U. PR director that a month ago. Answer was "no Game Cube for the US". Still, if you are going to buy it online, make sure to use the links in the Merchandise Forum overview description here.

EB games in the UK says it is anything but ruining the series and every UK mag says it is very funny and many say comparable to the funniest episodes

>>>As you'd expect the cut-scenes have some genuinely laugh-out-loud funny moments, but in-game play has plenty of details that the aficionado will enjoy too. With a release scheduled for July 4, Futurama could be a very pleasant surprise for gamers long used to crappy TV show adaptations. Good news, everybody.<<<<

That sucks that it's not coming out for the gamecube. From the videos I've downloaded, it doesn't look like it plays too well. But I could at least rent it and use cheats to unlock all the cut scenes.

Geez, I was going to pick it up for the 'Cube once it hit US shores, but now from what I've seen, I won't be getting the game at all. I recently sold my PS2 and I wouldn't be caught dead with an Xbox...oh the agony!

Bugger.  I still only have the GC too.  I actually was quite looking forward to this game too.  I guess I can consider myself lucky that now that I'm working, I can buy the new hard-drive installed PS2 this June and still be able to play it.  Damn, but doesn't this seem like the perfect game for the Cube though?  Just like Futurama itself, the little system just can't catch a break with the powers that be.

If I find that it plays reasonably well on a PS2 emulator, I'm buying it. (The last console I've ever owned was an SNES, and I'm keeping it that way.)

skinny guys fight 'til they're burger

I don't see how this could ruin the series... there isn't a whole left  you could do to it to ruin it.  I mean, it's more or less dead.

If Fox resurrected it, then some how got control, renamed it American Futurama Idol, fired all the actors, and used it as avenue for contestants to compete for a chance to be cryogenically frozen, that'd be ruining the series.

Other than that, I'm stoked to try it.

The scene that comes with that is the first time I laughed out loud at this game (though I missed the opening cut scene). Very, very funny. I can't wait to see it again  :D.

Oh, and I'll be getting this (probably day of release, unless I actually get some sense and realise I'm spending too much lately  ;)) for the Xbox.

I may end up getting it.  If its not for gamecube I wont be at release though, since I wont be able to get a PS2(which I might get down the line) by then.  But if nothing else, I'll want to borrow a friend's PS2 and rent the game.  In any case, the game is looking more and more exciting to me, as I've seen some good impressions of it (like the guy at IGN), whereas early on I had the feeling it COULD be good, but probably really wouldn't.

I guess I'll be buying it. And an XBox or a PS2. Dammit, I spend so much money on Futurama... The XBox was selling at Costco today for $220. Not too bad, but the GameCube was $175. Why can't we have a GC version over here?

I might buy it. It looks like a okay game but I would rather spend my $100 on the next season DVD.

I've been out of the Futurama loop for a month or so...when is this game going to be released?

As of now the game comes out in mid-august I think, though I wouldn't be suprised to see it pushed back to September so as to release with the season 2 dvd in the US.

Posting again to say 'no i won't buy it', because before i said i would buy it.

I simply have no money and I would prefer the season 3 dvd and the family guy volume one dvd.
