With the initial June release date of the Futurama game drawing ever closer, I thought it would be interesting to see which versions people plan on getting (regardless of the different release dates for different platforms).

Since I don't actually own a PS2/XBox/GC I'll just be pestering my housemate to buy it  :D.

I just bought a PS2 on April 1. So now I can't wait for the game to come out. (I'm already tired of the 2 games I have.)

I think ill wait and see which one is cheaper, i think the GC version will be cos GC sales are struggling, but as long as its the same game, over every format (except pc - cos pc owns) i dont care which format i get it in, ill buy it!

Unless it's released for PC I'm boned.  From the screenshots I have seen it looks kinda lame.  I'm not much of a gamer anyway.  If it did come out for PC, I'd get it just 'cuz I'm such a sucker for all things Futurama.

yes they do if u chip the PS2, its not illegal and wont void your warranty in Australia, thanks to the high court's decision that stopping people from playing import games was against the rights of the consumer, Europe GameCube games will play on Australian GameCubes without modding!

I picked Xbox because of its superior hardware advantage over all, but I might get it on Gamecube instead, dunno...

Back when I had my PS1, I chiped it myself, got the chip from a friend for about $5, soldered it in myself.

Places do it for like $20.

YOU DONT HAVE TO MOD YOUR PS2 TO PLAY UK AND EUROPE GAMES. THE GAMES WE GET HERE ARE ACTUALLY FROM THE UK, I BOUGHT GTA 3 FROM THE UK AND IT WORKS FINE AS WITH OTHER GAMES MY FRIEND HAS BROUGHT DOWN WITH HIM.

I will be buying all three versions of the futurama game as i have all three consoles, i will write it off as part of my collection just to make me feel better.

p.s. there is no way to tell you this without sounding up myself, sorry

Offer in the UK, £80 for a GC, game, memory card + controller. I'd get the GC version, but if it's a crap game, i won't get it.

I have an Xbox and PS2 so I don't know.  Maybe Xbox because Xbox has a ton of memory on it (hard drive in console) while I might have to delete something on PS2 memory card to save a game.

You fool! You foolish fool!!!  ;) Nah, Macs are alright. You have to wonder at the logic of the distributors, however - surely the largest gaming segment of Futurama's fanbase own PCs/Macs?

But if its on Console, I think more people are likely to pick it up and go "oooh?! looks ok might get it"

PC gamers are the more fanatical group, they know what games are coming and wait eagerly for them, thus only the known hyped up games sell really well, console is slightly different

I'll get the X-Box version. Hmm, wonder if they will let you listen to you own music while playing.
I've been having fun listening to Steps while playing Wolverines Revenge lately  :)
