I work for a market research company in London, England and am looking for people age 16-24 to take part in a discussion on Thursday March 13th where you get to test an early version of a videa game and will be paid £40 for taking part. To come along you must have a Playstation 2, be Futurama Fans and gamers as well as being very interested in platform games. If you are interested in taking part then please email  matthew@INDIEFIELD.CO.UK  or call 02082458000 and speak to Matt who will explain the evening in more detail.

Why do we get paid but yet need our own PS2?

Do we need to bring the PS2 or just own one?

Hi,

Depending on your age the session will take place at 4pm or 7.30pm at Wyoming
Studios 72 Margaret Street London W1W 8ST on Thursday 13th March.

16 - 18 (4PM)
18-24 (7.30PM)

The session will last for 3 hours and you will be paid £40 for taking part. You
will take part in a discussion about Computer games and Futurama as well as
testing a game that as of yet hasn't been released which I believe is based on
Futurama. You will also be provided with refreshments.

I hope this makes it a little clearer.

If you have any friends that you know will be interested in coming a long then
please let me know. They have to own a PS2 and know a bit a Futurama.

Kind Regards

Looks like they didn't have trouble finding people. http://http://www.gotfuturama.com/Futurama/News/1046934849,78364,/  If they are only testing at the moment does that mean the game wont be released for a while

It's probably last minute testing, to see if there are any problems before they begin shipping.  And the date could always change, there are lots of games that's release date keeps being nudged back.

Search the net for "game beta test" and you should find a few links to some games which are running open and closed betas. Most of these will require you to download the game though, so if yoiu're stuck with a modem like me you might find it difficult.

Of course, if you really want to be a game tester as a career I would write to game developers asking what qualifications they look for when they have a place in their QA department.
