This one was a big improvement over last issue. I won't spoil anything, but I think you'll all like it.

That is good news to hear. I am expecting big improvements over last issue as it seemed a little rushed. I am excited to see James Lloyd return to providing the artwork as well. I have not picked it up yet and will probably do so this Friday so thanks for no spoilers Kryten.

Awesome. Finally released, huh?
Can't wait.... Really enjoyed the last comic though, so if it's better than that one, that's high praise.  :)

Even though this issue did not see the return of James Lloyd to pencilling duties it did have some other stuff to make you forget about it - at least for this month. First, Tom King did an outstanding job here in this issue as did Phyllis Novin who supplied the inks. Strange how she does such a good job on the inking side but not so good on the pencilling side. No matter though as this team is very good together and I wouldn't mind seeing them together in the future. The big surpris this issue is providing the story is none other than Futurama writer Patric Verrone! I hope this starts a trend for future episodes of having some of the ex-writers come in and do some work on Futurama Comics. The story really read differently and had many more elements of the show than the comic has had in the past.

I don't want to provide too many spoilers but I will say the story was really fun. Plenty for you Leela lovers out there as well as fans of gratuitous nudity.   ;)  As mentioned before the story revolves around Fry getting a common cold but their is no vaccine for it in the future as the common cold has been obliterated. The teasers on this suggested the sub-mutants would play a big part in this story and while they did it was not until the end of the story and probably alot different than you would have imagined.   :)  All the usual mutated freaks are here including Leg Guy but not much is revealed about the mutants themselves. No matter though as it was good to see them make an appearance here in the pages of Futurama Comics.

Anyways, a top notch issue and a big rebound from last issue and a trend that I hope continues on with future issues. Make mine Futurama!!

Oops! Almost forgot to mention - Congratulations to Frysgirl for getting some of her artwork into the fan pages this issue. Keep up the good work!

Leela nudity! What loser would buy the issue just for some pictures of Leela naked. It's a cartoon for god's sake.

Well, it's also got disgusting bodily fluids.  Does that make you want to go out and buy it?

I picked up a copy last night.  An enjoyable read while the snow piled up outside.

They make an appearance Venus but it is pretty unsubstantial in the grand scheme of things. Oh, and haven't we already seen Leela take her clothes off in an issue?

No. 11 is really a good one. Funny story with disgusting scenes, lots of guest stars, good drawing and list goes on. (and not mention the scenes with leela behaving a little strange...)

yay! its in Australia!

Very good, much better than #10!
The story was much more like the show, I have to agree. The art is some of the best ever in the series (I suppose anything is better than #10).

I really enjoyed it, cant wait for the next one now

Yeah #11 is one of the better comics about considering I'm currently infested with a Common Cold myself.

At least Amy gets more of a part in the comics than she does in the show itself.

A perfect comic to read while you sick yourself. Yes Leela parents are in this comic and yes something for Leela lovers in there too.

Good storyline

The odd thing is, now that I've read "the most influenzal comic of all times", I've got the common cold.

Yes, #10 was the most obscure thing i've ever seen. Scruffy as a main character? A spoof of a sport 4 people on Earth have heard of? Ugh...

But it was the Olympics.
Liked #11 quite a bit. Really look forward to the next issue...

and why (and how?!) exactly was Professor Farnsworth a member of the Kappa Kappa Wong Sorority? Isn't a sorority a female-only version of its "brother" fraternity?

Nevertheless the issue was funny and gooey.

Great issue finally got it today from Comics Rus today. There were a lot of goofs here are a few: fnog wrong colour, Zapp's bigger than the giant women, and others I forgot.

Why do the comics have minor characters from the show in them all the time? That two page spread was odd...

Zapp was bigger than the Amazon women because he was closer... Although Fnog was the wrong color.

Can anyone tell me where can i get the comics in Melbourne?  I have been buying the aus/nz releases from the newsagent and i'm only up to #4.
Also, what are the differences b/w the US release and the aus/nz release? Is it just the letter page and release date?
Thanks in advance.

Hi zoidyzoid,
You can find the US comics at Minotaur on Elizabeth St or any Comics R Us store....find thru Yellow Pages
As far as I can tell, the difference between US and Aus/NZ comics are the ads (wow!) and I think the Aus/NZ comics are a little fatter and made on a different paper? I'd recommend catching up with everyone - they're really worth it.
