Bite it!  Bite the bullet.  You know you want to see the second season NOW.  So many good episodes. You can't take that money with you to the grave, you should use it now.  Besides, only losers and or peasants/college students wait for the domestic release.

AHAHAHAHAH!

I got them! I hold them in my very hand now, and now am putting them down to ease typing. I got them today at Costco. Surprisingly, they're pretty well everywhere. I'm happy. And now, off to the television to watch the many, many episodes and stuff.

P.S.
I paid a mere $31.89 for mine. And that Canadian. Thats like $15.95 US.

HOORAY! I got them the day they came out. They're pretty awesome, they're much better than the Simpsons DVDs, but I guess it's the Simpsons' misbenefit for all of their deleted scenes and stuff being in Korea in giant storehouses never to see the light of day. Anyway, great stuff.

2 discs down, one to go.  The commentary is fantastic.  John Dimaggio is by far and away the coolest person ever, although Billy West talking in Zoidberg's voice was ::shudder::

It's amazing how well Dimaggio can do the Professor's voice.  I was especially amused by the tale of the Dueling Professors.

Man, I'm going through and now with the size of my television, the steady pauses, and the clarity of picture, theres crap that I've never seen. Like in Little Neptune from My 3 Suns. I was watching and theres AL1 EVERYWHERE. Not just where its been seen before, but fantastic amounts. Theres tiny lettering on posters that overlap... stores, machines, people... its crazy.

I've only watched the first three episodes, and already it kicks ass. Don't miss the animatic for SP3K (it has lots of bits that didn't make it into the final version) and the commentaries.

The seaon one DVD came out in Britian in January last year! We only have 12 days until season 3 comes out! I'm not sure if somebody has mention that before!

I ask you again, where do you get the information that season 3 is released in 12 days?

Blackstar.co.uk cite the release date as June 2nd, the German version is shceduled for launch in Sweden on May 28th. And to top it off, Amazon.co.uk haven't even started to take pre-orders.

June 2nd, still sounds like the date. Even Payndz said it was likely, and Payndz have friends in high places.

Well okay, maybe not, but he know people in the biz.

I will be in England on June 8, so I'll just pick up my set while I'm over there.   :) There's no point in paying exorbitant shipping if I don't have to.

Normally I'd agree with you.

But as I understand it, non-EU citizens don't pay VAT when they order online from outside the European Union.

Buying on the streets of London mean bying with VAT. So it all come down to, what's bigger VAT or shipping?

But I can get a VAT refund, combined with the rest of my purchases and my parents' purchases while I'm over there. Being a United Statesian, I'm not an EU citizen.

But shipping is like 12 pounds. (I don't have a "pounds" key on my keyboard.)

I got the seaons 2 set last year and season 1 set for Christmas.

I usually order my DVD's from www.play.com  as they're cheaper then most places and have free delivery to the UK. They don't have the season 3 set up there right now but as soon as it appears I'll put it on pre-order.

I bought them yesterday. Best DVD set ever! Ever, I say. The Space Pilot animatic was sexy. I could watch animatics of all the episodes.

Some of the deleted scenes from Season 1 are excellent, making you wonder why they deleted them. For example, the one from When Aliens Attack which has Farnsworth explaining that they can't swim in the real sea (Monument Beach is inland) because of the whales:
Farnsworth: (Something like "after hunting them was banned" )... their numbers grew and grew, as did their appetite for human flesh.

Well, the scene kinda makes no sense since, in the actual episode, Monument Beach is in New York.

I just bought the DVD today and watched the first 8 episodes w/ commentary, I think this might be the best DVD I own. I especially like the case design and the artwork. Good Stuff.

Whoops, sorry. I meant to put the quote in this message, but got confused. I just wanted to say that I hadn't noticed that. It's a shame though, I'm sure you'll agree. I also liked the deleted scene with the Killbot, where Bender resets its kill-counter, though I can see why they didn't include it as it does seem to jar slightly with what else is going on in the scene. Maybe I'll start a favourite deleted scene strand, although until season three comes out it may be a bit small!

Maybe New York was annexed by Iowa... :evillaugh:

My favourite deleted scene is the one from "A Clone of My Own". I can see why they hated to chop it. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't got the S2 DVDs, however.
