Got both the season 1 and season 2 DVD's (almost) the day they were released, and I lord them over those who don't have them. 

I already have money set aside for the season 3 set, which could prove to be the best set yet, with all those great episodes in the 3ACV batch.

Cracked my DVD drive to be region-free so I could get S1 and S2 from UK. (I'm in USA.)

Well worth the trouble and excessive ($60+ each) cost.

Well, they are currently planning the S3 release, i don't think they'd stop releasing them if the show was cancelled as the DVD sets make alot of cash.

It comes in the mail today after waiting 2 long weeks.
Just finished watching the first 3 episodes, I don't remember them much at all (which makes watching them even better)

Will definately get the second season as soon as it is here in Australia.

I believe that the UK DVDs were actually R2 and R4 coded, so you could order them from amazon.co.uk and watch them.

I just stuck my S2 UK DVD (Disc 1) into my DVD-ROM drive. According to DVD Decrypter:

Label: FUTURAMA_SEASON_2_DISC_1
Region: 2,4
RCE Protection: No
Copyright Protection System Type: CSS/CPPM

So go get your S2 DVDs from the UK!

*Note: RCE Protection is not the same as Region Protection. RCE Protection checks to see if your DVD drive is locked to the proper region. It relies on software on the DVD disc, not the player. See http://www.dvdtalk.com/rce.html  . But, that doesn't even matter, because the Futurama S2 DVDs don't have it!

I am waiting for season 2 to come out in Australia. Why does it take like 5 months after the american release for it to reach Australia??

I got my season 2 box set two days before the official release date, actually. That was a bonus.

I have both sets, a poorly-repackaged-as-R4 season 1 set (no cool plastic sleeve) bought here and a genuine R2 set (which works just as well, even in an unmodded R4 player) from Amazon UK, which was cheaper for me than it would have been for someone living in the UK, seeing that the shipping was less than the VAT they took off.
