"The Route of All Evil" WILL be on the Season 3 DVDs.  I'd love to tell you some of the extras on the season 3 dvd, but then that would ruin the surprise! Let me just say this, season 3 will be the best set yet as far as extra stuff goes (though there's still room for improvement -- here's hoping they pull out all the stops on season 4).

futufan, do you know when the audio commentaries for the season 3 DVD was recorded?

I know season 1 and 2 was recorded in the end of 2001, maybe season 3 was made after the hiatus decision? It would be neat if David and/or Matt commented on that.

That's a good question ... it would be cool to hear their take on the decision (although the commentary may have ended up being a little more than on the bitter side, understandably). I'm not sure when they were recorded ...

The S3 episodes and special features are going through the BBFC (www.bbfc.co.uk) right now - on the S1 and S2 sets, this happened 1-3 months before they were released. So it's looking like it's on course for a UK May release. March for 'Season 5', May for the boxset - roll on Spring!

The season 2 commentaries were recorder in December 2001. That leaves 2 months after that til the show was put on hiatus, and I'm fairly sure they recorded the season 3 and 4 commentaries after season 2. So I reckon they might mention it, maybe FOX will stop them though?

Well they did seem a bit annoyed at the show's timeslot on the S1 and 2 commentaries but they ddi keep their comments professional. I'm sure they'll say something polite about it but we'll all know what they really mean!

What's incredible is that they mention events  on the Season One and Two DVD commentaries (which were recorded back in 2001) for episodes which still haven't aired yet (even in the US)!
