Actually, the BBFC lists a lot more now. It has 19 episodes all with commentaries, and Where the Buggalo Roam without a Director's Commentary listed by its name (but the S2 ones don't have that so I wouldn't be too concerned). There is also a 3D Model Draft listed and an Animatic for AoI2 as well as an Easter Egg rated twelve.

As for the Deleted Scenes -- they are listed by disc and disc one seems to hold six episodes.

The deleted scenes are for episodes:
- 3ACV01
- 3ACV02
- 3ACV03
- 3ACV04
- 3ACV05
- 3ACV06
- 3ACV07
- 3ACV08
- 3ACV09
- 3ACV10
- 3ACV11
- 3ACV14
- 3ACV16
- 3ACV17
- 3ACV19
- 3ACV21
- 3ACV22

They also list the times for each of them, but I can't be bothered to go through them all.

Oh, those must be newly added today. I checked yesterday. Route of all evil is there, too and the 3D models could be interesting to see. Guess that warrants some update on cgef too then.

Judging from this it appears they are cramming all of this into 4 discs.  I have to admit though, that is A LOT of deletes scenes.  I can assume though that all of the episodes will have commentaries.  The animatic, Easter egg and 3D Models will also be nice, but I'm sure there will probably be more extras.

Very nice info Puny Human 354  :)

The Easter Egg must be something more special than the last two if it warrants a +U rating. It must be some sort of video clip or a kill Santabot game.

Didn't David X. Cohen say in an article/interview somewhere that they'd recorded commentaries for every episode? They are the real gems of the DVDs.

The Easter Egg could be the "close-up" that was mentioned on the Season 2 DVDs (for I Second That Emotion)?   ;) Ah well....

Also, harkening back to the first page...

It's quite unusual for the UK to get something before the US. Since we're classified as a European country, usually we have to wait for the translations into German, French, Spanish etc. before we get the DVD/Games (despite the fact that our English translation is identical to the US (hey, maybe they should go and put the "u" back in "labour"  ;)). The recent wave of Europe/Japan-only releases is a strange trend indeed.

Boy, I wish I had the job of BBFC classifier person  ;).

I don't think this was on there the other day -- but '30% Iron Chef' has been passed.

Bringing it up to 21 episodes (if you include Buggalo).

That was a joke. They also referred to that scene as easter eggs. Guess what they meant..

Surprisingly, the UK actually does get quite a bit of US material on DVD first especially TV shows. Sometimes, really popular shows can make it onto DVD in the UK first, like The West Wing. DVDs produced for Europe can actually sell more than the US - the Futurama Season 2 disc can be sold in the UK, France, Italy and Australia without any modifications - just a small packaging change. Because the audio tracks already exist, there's no need to perform translations. If a DVD sells poorly in the UK, then it probably won't be released in the US - saving the manufacturer money.
In my experience, that's only really true of TV shows - films do tend to be released in the US earlier, as well as computer games...

Thinking about it, you're absolutely right. The same applied to VHS as far as I can tell.

It's still annoying that games get a US release before a Europe one (and even more annoying that a lot of games get a Japanese one before the US one!  ;)).

I don't think the game situation is all that bad in Europe. Europe gets a large number of game titles that don't get released here in the US, namely some great soccer and rally games, but also other kinds of titles. I was disappointed that Europe got the Gamecube game "Doshin the Giant," but the US will never get it...

The game situation can get very bad. We had to wait around half a year for MGS2, and 13 months (IIRC) for FFX. Sure, it's usually just a month or two, but even that's too much IMHO.

The easter egg has been passed, and it's almost 5 minutes long. I wonder what it could be.

Europe got Doshin! I hope that means Australia too... We usually get the same crap *Heads to Nintendo website*

But you YANKS should stop complaining. This is the first release date type thing you've ever experienced. Do you know how frustrating it is waiting for months and months for CD's, games, movies, TV shows, etc and then hear you complain about how Japan is always getting stuff earlier? Grr! EVERY MOMENT of the THREE EXTRA excrutiating months of waiting for the GameCube was AGONY!

David X Cohen showing us his paperclip collection?  ;) Nah, he seems like a great guy.

Maybe it's a proper interview with some of the cast and writers/animators etc!!

Actually we can get games up to 6 months later, it gets very annoying. Also alot of good games never make it to the UK, much more then the percentage of UK games that never make it to the USA.
As for the UK getting TV serieses first, that's often due to USA Syndication laws, we have no form of restrictions here for things like that.

I hope we get the S3 DVDs soon though, it's a great series!

But, the US is in the same boat when it comes to games in Japan. There's gotta be thousands of games that have never made it from Japan to the US market, and like the UK, we usually have to wait about 6 months to get a version localized for us. But, as long as we're talking about this, I find it interesting, the idea of games not making over to the UK. It seems to me, that video games are a much more profitable business here in the states, compared to Europe. And, games seemed to be very expensive the last time I was in France, around 75 euros for a copy of Final Fantasy X. With prices like that, it's no wonder that the European gaming market is behind the US. But, that's the video game fatcats for ya.

I think there was a report some time back which indicated that the European game market was on a huge increase, especially (as I recall) in the UK and Germany - which might indicate why game releases have started to get closer and closer together in different regions.

Just thought I'd point out that if you click on the "Buggalo" (which, BTW was replaced on SKY last night  :() link, it describes it as a DVD audio commentary. It's probably a case of different people updating the database and not using the same notation.

Some sort of game where you get to undress Amy and Leela? Behind the scenes footage of the actors recording their voices? Cast auditions that include other actors? Some sort of game where you get to undress Amy and Leela?

EDIT: Lmao! I just realised what I wrote   :laff: I meant to say dress!!

i was reading this to get some info on a possible release date for S3.. and it quickly turned in to a complain fest on release dates for US/UK games & such..

the 3 catagories were. console games, DVD/VHS, & PC Games.

as far as console games go, why dont you just modify your console? its pretty simple to do for both the PS2 & the XBOX.. then you can purchase games from other regions from eBay (aswell as various other online retailers) and play them on your machine..

DVD/VHS- i had my futurama S1 & S2 dvd's within 2 weeks of their UK release dates.. i ordered them from amazon.co.uk .. i was able to watch these on a modified dvd player.. the modification was as easy as burning a cd-r, putting it in my dvd player, letting it do its work.. and bam, my futuram discs worked..

PC games, there are no regional restrictions.. just purchase them from oversea's and pop'em in your computer..

i dont know if you guys are afraid ordering stuff from oversea's or something.. but waiting for me is excruciating.. i'll pay the extra $10 for shipping so i dont have to wait months, if not a year+..

[p.s.- if you're going to complain about your television not displaying a PAL or NTSC signal there are converters available for a decent price]

There are some restrictions. Some games do "look" at your Country setting. Then it might happen that you aren't able to change the violence settings. (Ego-Shooters mostly)

It must have some scenes that include nudity. That's the reason why the BBFC gave "A bicyclops for two" a "12" rating.

WRONG. My copy of Icewind Dale (only one I can think of off the top of my head) states that it WILL NOT install on Canadian of North American systems. Dunno why, probably just to keep regional releases going on.

So why don't you just change your Country setting on Windows?
Besides, does it just say that or is it really impossible to install it?

Yup, there are two audio commentaries for the episode "Roswell That Ends Well". The first one was recorded when the rest of the episode commentaries were recorded and the other, presumedly, was recorded after that episode won an Emmy.
