The backgrounds look okay, but the models look awful. When you compare the Bender one to the models made for Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament 2003, the former a game almost 4 years old now, they really look tacky. Hopefully better work will be put into the models themselves.

Actually I'm kind of interested in how it will look look in action.  It probably won't be as fluid or crisp as a high budget game like Wind Waker, but it does seem promising.  Hopefully, it won't look as blurry during the gameplay.

Apparently the trailer makes you notice that the graphics are actually very good, they just dont look good in screenshot form.

you should download the 2 minute video of the making of the game http://http://www.planetpantsu.net/fusu/futuramagame.wmv  and you'll see just how good this game will look! will have to wait and see if GAMEPLAY is any good though.

I'm trying to be optimistic, but this game will probably suck like the simpsons games, and by extension, 99% of third-party games ever created. The animation is so robotic! And with the new generation of consoles, there is no excuse to why those models look like something out of Quake 2. The PE building looks great though, I hope they did it well enough to copy down the architechture. I also really want to see how they get from the hangar to the lab. In 'Time Keeps On Slippin'' it looks like an elevator, but you can't be sure...

Being able to walk around on the street outside and watch the cars hover past would be awesome too, but you can't get your hopes up.

I've seen the trailer and it looks awesome, and really funny too! I think it's gonna be better than The Simpsons games, I just have that feeling. If it isn't that great in terms of gaming, at least we get to hear the actual voices from the show, and get over an episodes worth of cut scenes to watch  :) Afte seeing the trailer I've noticed that the graphics are sharper and brighter in the cut scenes than in the actual game play. It's not by much, but there is a noticable difference. One thing which appeals to me is the fact that from the looks of thing there will be plenty of minor characters in the game too. From the trailer I think Destructor is one of the bosses, and I think I noticed the Grim Reaperbot too. And about the graphics, appart from them being cel shaded, I think another one of the main easons for them not looking that amazing is because the game's been in production for a long time now and the graphics engine is probably a few years old. I remember Matt talking about the game soon after the show debuted  :)

So is Futurama going to be an action/platform type of game?
I was hoping it would be more of a stategy game like the Monkey Island games but I'll still definetely buy it

It's going to be a platform game. You control each of the main three characters for a third of the game. As Fry you'll use weapons like a hammer and a machine gun, as Bender you'll smash (rather then say, bend) things, and as Leela it seems to turn into more of a Tomb Raider type game. You also get to control other characters for short periods, for example as Zoidberg you'll ride this giant lizard type thing (like the Stormtroopers ride on Tatooine in A New Hope, forget the name) through a jungle.

A little review of the game off the BBC Cult Website (www.bbc.co.uk/cult)

Quote
BBC Cult website:
Matt Groening's 30th Century comedy will be coming to a games machine near you.

Scripted by the team behind the excellent satirical cartoon, the Futurama game will let the player fight as Leela, Bender, Dr Zoidberg or Fry. Anyone who's ever seen the show will know which one they'd pick as a winner.

The actors from the show will be returning to their old roles to voice the game, which will involve fighting and puzzle solving. The story sees the four Planet Express workers pitted against old enemy Mom, who is bent on enslaving the planet. Again.

The game is currently in development by SCi for PlayStation2, XBox and GameCube, and is scheduled for release later this spring.

I'm not overly keen on the way Leela's ponytail is made, but I agree that the sewers definetely look cool.

Awesome, I really hope so. Also, we know that we'll be going into the sewers in the game, but I wonder if that includes the sub-sewers?
