mArc or Jon might be better to answer that question, but from what I know an official guide is not on the planning table as of now.

There is a few online fanmade guides though. They can be found on FSAC and TLZ.

mArc posted a while ago about a German company who wanted to make a complete guide to Simpsons and Futurama. They got into legal problems with FOX, and had to do some alterations. Nothing new from that front since.

Isn't there a book about Futurama being released soon?  I recall someone mentioning they'd pre-ordered it.

The Futurama-O-Rama? That was a compilation of the first 4 comics, IIRC.

There was an un-official Simpsons guide (entitled "I Can't Believe It's An Un-Official Simpsons Guide" ) released in the UK (there were no pics or anything in it, just details of the episodes (and their comments on each).  I have it.

What's to stop anyone doing for Futurama, if they follow the same format?

As long as they don't use any copyrighted material (pictures, framegrabs, etc), I don't think there would be any problems.

In favt I have the second edition ("I Can't Believe It's A Bigger Even Better Updated Unofficial Simpsons Guide" ), and besides featuring the first 10 seasons of The Simpsons, it also contains the first season of Futurama, albeit very short and sketchy. So it could be done, but I'd rather have the official book with all the pretty pictures.

Better stick with the fanmade guides. We know more than those book writers anyway. So check out Kenneth's guides at TLZ or mine at FSAC. Or both! Just remember, my guides have ALL the episodes.

I've talked with Bongo Comics head manager (terry, and bongo comics release all simpson books and guides).  He said they will definitly make a guide book.  Just dont know when yet.

Since futurama is almost dead, I'd imagine theyd wait for the last season(s) to air.

Yep, check out Amazon.co.uk. It's just a compilation of the first 4 US comics, but if you don't have those 4 issues it's a nice buy. I don't know whether it'll be available off-line.

That's great news Jon! But if the choice is between getting the book after season 5 or getting more Futurama episodes, I know what I'll chose.

How cool is that! I can't wait until that comes out. I lovred the Simpsons version.
You know, we should make a Futurama book, like the Simpsons books Teral mentioned. We could make millions, and give all the money to FOX if they don't kill Futurama. Notice the "if"

If it's done similar to the Simpsons guide, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Nice to know that the folks at Bongo have the inclination.
