Ya, it's par for the course with Toynami.

Best to just put it out of your mind until there's any news.

exactly why the kickstarter idea was doomed from its inception. if it ever does go down, which I highly doubt, i'm not participating.  i'll just wait til it pops up on ebay. toynami doesn't give two fcuks about futurama fans and toys. they're more interested in other projects. and dooping us into false hopes.

but i'm just an 'very old, very cranky' 27 year old. who cyber bullies. hahahahah, wow.

you would think with the recent successes of the gender bender destructor(s) sales they'd have it in em to at least give the fans the six figures theyve been flaunting at toy fairs fpr the past couple years. 2000 unit runs, exclusives.  its not that hard. im sure that toynami has enough money to do this. they make a lot of anime figures. sculptboy said to make molds costs upwards of 10k. invest the measly 60 racks and make them exclusives.  I guarantee they will sell out. look at how fast the gender bender destructor and the stand alone destructor sold out. and what they're going for online. rape.

but whatever. toynami doesn't associate its self with dead shows. futuramas gone. the only place that would do it justice is adult[swim]. even tho matt said he doesn't know if its truely over. we can all face the facts. its going the way of the dodo bird. but it was an awesome 13 years.

Hey Much Ado,

in your original post, the 4th photo down shows an unpainted 'Mighty Merchandise Robot' Bender figure, from the anime segment of the episode 'Reincarnation'?

Is Toynami going to release that figure sometime?

Would be very sweet, indeedee!!!  ;)

What, no access to eBay or Amazon.com? (or the local comics shops?)

I'm assuming Morbo's not going to happen, at least not anytime soon. It really, really sucks, as I've been wanting him for quite some time. You'd think that Toynami would've secured the whole Kickstarter deal before handing out flyers for it at the freaking San Diego Comic Con, though! You can't just say something's definitely going to happen on a specific date, then just blow it off later.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Gender Bender/Destructor set was the last thing we'll ever get from the line. At least it ended with a bang. :hmpf:

Toynami has more interest in selling odd Futurama merch. such as coin banks, Shogun Warriors, Plush, and Tineez.

Which stinks.. b/c we all know the main line is the best proper line.
Which is why I cancelled my pre-order of Shogun Bender and Hypnobank.

Us: Can we have Morbo and Hypnotoad figures?
Toynami: Sure! But only in odd chibi form!!
Us: D'oh!

It's funny; Toynami thinks the fans of an American Television Show want figures that are stylized to look like they're from a Japanese Television Show. :p

This is a toy thread.

Hypnotoad being in the THOH was revealed four days ago:

That doesn't change the fact that you randomly posted a Simpsons picture in a toy thread. :nono:

It does a little bit because now were discussing the fact that I did it instead of the fact that it is there so it's a little different, anyway the reason I posted it was because it clearly shows hypnotoad's size in comparison to Lisa which was a discussion a while back

Still the wrong thread. Something like that would go in Human Resource Department or Weird Scenes.

The picture does show the size of Hypnotoad rather well, however. Maybe someone could make a custom figure of him sometime.  That'd definitely be cool.

You know, There actually are boobleheads of Fry, Leela, Bender, and Zoidberg. They're from around 2007, and were made by Funko as a part of their 'Wacky Wobblers' line. I have all four of the basic ones, and I love them. They're pretty cheap on eBay. You should grab them off of there if you're a bobblehead fan.

Wow, you know a Toynami Futurama Action Figure thread is going downhill when you start talking about figures that other companies made.

I'll check eBay, this thread went downhill when you pointed out it was going downhill. I mean come on, saying that only starts disputes as well as off topic discussion. Check out your own faults first buddy.

Oh, and it's spelled bobblehead, not booblehead. :p

True, true, but Booblehead is much more fun to say.

Anyway, I'm thinking about buying the Talking Bender figure sometime soon. Can someone who already owns it tell me if it's worth the $25+ I'll likely end up buying it for? Is it made from cheap, easily scuff-able plastic, or is it regular, higher-quality plastic? Does it's paint stay on, or does it chip off? I just need to know quality-wise things like that, as I don't want to buy something crappy for that much cash. Thanks, to anyone who can help.
