Old topic reached 20 pages...so this is the perfect time to start a new thread!

So here are the photos of the Toynami exclusives from SDCC:

Hypnotoad Tineez Limited to 2000

Comparison to the Kidrobot Zoidberg and the Toynami Bender figure

Comparison to the Kidrobot Hypnotoad

The Gender Bender and Destructor set (in comparison with the first Destructor and Gender Bender wind up toy)

I will be removing mine from the box but I am still in that whole NIB aura for a few days hehe. I did notice through the plastic one distinguishable difference - the Destructor that was sold individually came with silver spikes, and in this set he has light blue spikes it appears (I believe this was brought up a year ago or so in one of these threads when we were talking about it).

It doesn't look like it says Comic Con exclusive, however production was limited as my friend was able to secure one of the boxes they were throwing away - so looks like this run was limited to 2000.

Will be posting more photos in the other threads so look for those bumps! cool

It was confirmed that Gender Bender was LE 2000 and Toad is LE 2000 as well.
Your pictures confirm this, as Toynami got 1000 boxes of Gender Bender's with 2 in each box.
Very nice way to get this thread going, we've melded nicely gurl.
The pictures are great! Tineez Hypnotoad will look great next to the 6-inch line.

And BBTS clearly listed the Kidrobot info. for SDCC Tineez Hypnotoad by mistake.

Thanks Quolnok, I probably should have linked that earlier.

I took better photos of the Gender Bender/Destructor set because the flash wasn't going on in the first one (I have a DSLR but I can't find where I hid the CF lol so I am stuck using my Nikon Coolpix for these).

Old topic reached 20 pages...so this is the perfect time to start a new thread!

So how many threads are we up to now for this line?

What's amazing with the last one is we burned through 20 pages pretty much without a single new figure being released. Who says this line doesn't have any fans?

Toynami, shut up and take more of our money already!  big grin

It's just too much fun talking to fellow collectors jabalong, like a self-help addiction therapy group lol.

Is Gender Bender's hair removable?

Probably not...I'll let you know in a few days when I finally get around to opening it, lol.

MuchAdo recapped what I had mentioned near the end of the last thread...but to those who missed it, I was informed through my person at SDCC that the larger Hypnotoad figure is actually a coin bank. Curious as to what you guys thought of that...and could that be the figure for pre-sale at BBTS?

Wow, that's one awesome set. It looks like that destructor is a little different from the last one. The original figure had shiny spikes, while this one has solid gray spikes (I think SculptBoy said the paint would be like that in a different thread, but I don't remember which one). Is it just me, or is his hand different too?
Also, are the eyes at the top of the box different from the usual squinting bender eyes? They look like they're looking off to the side a little more..

Comparison to the Kidrobot Zoidberg and the Toynami Bender figure

Thanks for this Picture, FF. He's just a tad too big for the regular line, but he'll definetly work for now. I had no idea that Kidrobot figure was that big! That's really a cool size for that figure. Have they made any other KR figures in that scale (other than Wooden Bender)? I'd like to get a Fry or Bender that size.

Wow at that Morbo. It looks like he's about as tall as the Talking Bender. I wonder why his arm is pulled out like that (on a side note, that could be proof that he was originally meant to be a BAF)? He looks better and Better every time I see him!

I WANT THE SHOGUN WARRIOR BENDER!! big grin That's my favorite of them all. Will his fist actually fly off like other SW figures do? Looks like it will, actually. He looks exellent!

Looks like there is a Future for our beloved Futurama line!

Gender Bender for sure comes with beat up eyes, and mean eyes.

@MRM, I was surprised they'd start the SGW line with just plain Bender.
Where did that anime Bender go? I'd prefer him actually.
But this SGW regular Bender is pretty neat.
Next I want SGW Zoidberg and anime SGW Zoidberg.

Anyway I told BBTS they have the KIDROBOT Hypnotoad info up with that Toynami picture and they won't write me back, lol.

Scroll down to the product Kidrobot toad description: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008QD4VVW/ref=s9_simh_se_p21_d1_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=auto-no-results-center-1&pf_rd_r=B51673A7D173464C96A8&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_p=1263465782&pf_rd_i=Hpnotaopd

Then scroll down to the same product description BBTS put up on the Toynami toad:
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=TOY10591&mode=retail

BBTS.. fail.
They just copy and pasted it all from Kidrobot; size info, basic description, magic eys.

So there's going to be an entire line of the guys? If so, then Awesome!! If not, then awww....

I think the Anime Bender looked cool, too. They'll probably release him as an excusive in the future. If they do make this a line, I would assume Fry or Leela would be next, although I would love a Zoidy that size!

I like Morbo's figure. But the only thing he can seem to do is move his arms at a 360 degree angle.  hmpf And he doesn't seem to have any accessories either.

Still a cool figure, nonetheless.  big grin

It looks like he has 360 arms, a turning head, and a rotating waist to me (it also kind of looks like he has turning feet & hands, but I doubt it.). Those are standard points of articulation for this line, anyway, so that's what I'll be expecting. However, if he ends up being made in Vinyl like Toynami said, he'll probably only have head and arm articulation.

As for accessories, if Hypnotoad comes with anyone, I'd think he would be with Morbo, as they're both on TV. Other than that, maybe half of a Newsroom table, with the other half coming packaged with Linda? He'll probably at least have a standard ray gun (to kill the puny earthlings with),

Yeah Morbo is a large character! I can't wait for him. I would have rather had Lrrr but beggers can't be choosers.
Yep, he's definitely gonna be huge, bigger than Robot Santa! I feel the same way about Lrr, but it seems that more people on here wanted Morbo than Him(Not to say we don't want him, though!!). Lrr would probably cost more to make, too. I wounder just how big Lrr would be, anyway? He'd probably have the same POA as Morbo.
I can't wait for Morbo!!

At this point, it's probably wishful thinking to hope for Morbo to come with anything. That said, one great thing about Kickstarter is Toynami could set different goals for different funding levels reach.

So for instance, could have a minimum level for the project to go forward, at which point everyone just gets Morbo with nothing extra in the box (ie, no extra costs).

Then could have a second level where he came with basic accessories and a third level where he came with Linda, and so on.

Don't really expect anything like this to happen, as Toynami's also probably just focused on trying to see if it can get enough funds to put out the figure as is.

But that's the kind of thing they could do with Kickstarter in terms of setting different goal posts for the project.

So they're actually releasing him?! I never thought I'd see the day...
Too bad I can't spend $150 for him right now...but I'll just look for cheaper ones on eBay  roll eyes.

I'm really happy Toynami is getting around to releasing more figs, with Morbo going to Kickstarter, Gender Bender coming with Destructor, and, of course, this Bender. Maybe someday we will get the Robot Mafia, Flexo, and Lrr  smile.

These aren't moving very quickly - still 161 left!

I suspect BBTS has shot themselves in the foot on this one by forgetting to include "Destructor" in the item title. If you search for him, this doesn't come up and I bet people have tried and just assumed that BBTS wasn't stocking this set.

I emailed BBTS to let them know, but they just politely told they'd fix it if they think "a change is necessary".  tongue

Any idea why this Hypnotoad is going for such a ridiculous price? My guess is the seller ships worldwide so it is the first one many people have seen boxed. Not sure, but that is crazy!

whys that morbo look homemade?

who's getting fired over that display? lol.

if that's the quality the ones who buy into the whole 'kickstart' idea get, sad face. I was thinking about getting involved. but theres not enough information and personally I dont want to give toynami any money on the prayer it gets made. its fcuking obvious theres a pretty devoted fan base they give two sh!ts about. they do good with 2,000 limited runs, why not just make it another exclusive? i'll be getting the gender bender destructor but toynamis not getting a penny. sure i'll pay way more than I should, but it's shiesty seeedy business on toynamis part for re-releasing a figure they already did...oh wait, their outta ideas.

I want the fcuking robot mafia. eff a bender variant. give me the mafia, lurr, and morbo.  i've been patient but this kickstart ideas a slap in my face.

just my two cents.

and that hypnotoad looks pittiful. just my opinion. never liked a figured version of such a lame character.

again, might come off as pessimistic, but i'm sick of waiting

I really want an URL figure but I haven't completed my bender set yet so I can't get it, I have to agree under was pants, did he even come with any accessories? A gold Death Star would have been worth buying him for, Nacirema I share your sadness towards morbo but dude if we don't all get on board with this kickstart idea robot mafia will never make the light of day

P.s I still haven't had a cancellation from forbiddenplanet would be typical if I ended up with two gender benders
