Hey everyone,
My first post here, I've been a Futurama fan for year but only recently though of looking for a fan forum... so yeah, here I am!
So anyway, in the last month of so I've caught the bug of collecting these Toynami Figures... & I have a question, what does everyone thing is a fair price for a boxed, unopened Zoidberg Figure?
I understand they are rare and people don't want to let go of them but I also don't want to get ripped off, the other question is are the 2 other zoidbergs (the blue one and the mating season one) worth more, less or pretty much equal to the normal zoidberg?
Thanks everyone!
Brad.
In american dollars - Regular Zoidberg figure with BAB part - anything less than $100 is an excellent price. I paid $125 for mine a couple years ago off amazon (before I got a bay account), which was probably a fairly averagely good to okay price. I've seen them listed for as much as $200 or more but those don't really sell. Universe 1 Zoidberg - opened, I have seen them go for $55-$85 at its best. Unopened, ehhh, expect to pay at least $120 I would say. Its cost is right around the regular zoidberg. Mating Zoidberg - I haven't followed this one as much (I actually only have the original Zoidberg as the other ones don't interest me as much, though a universe 1 zoidberg would be nice...). But when I last checked it was around the Universe 1 cost or a little more. I tend to see the Universe 1 Zoidberg listed more often than the others. If you have a bay account - search "zoidberg figure" or "zoidberg futurama" and save those searches in your account (click the "save" button next to the search box after the search is complete). Make sure you check the "email me daily with matches" so you automatically get notified when a new one is listed. I do this all the time with certain rare items I am looking for, that way you don't miss out on a possibly quick, cheap auction

Thanks for the tips Futurefreak, I didn't realise you could do that with ebay searches, I'll set that up so I don't miss out on any. Thanks!

That comes out to about $108.17 - yeah, I would say that is fairly average to pay for that. Also, what I forgot to tell you is that what I like to do on the bay as well is look up the "sold listings" and "completed listings" options, that should be a drop down menu once you click the "active listings" tab at the top. I do a lot of selling myself so I find this tool extremely useful to get a guesstimate of a going rate of something, but it is useful in buying as well because then you can see what sort of interest there is in the items. Make sure to sort by "date: recently ended first" so you can get a current market value. "Sold listings" will show you what it sold for, "completed listings" will show you all listings of that product in the last three months, sold and unsold. So you are able to see exactly what is too much to pay for a specific item (a price in red means it didn't sell, green means it did). If you need any more pointers we're happy to help! And welcome to PEEL btw! Hope you enjoy your stay

Oh definitely, that was a steal! It might have been on a shorter three day auction or ended at a weird time, like past 10pm at night - any auction with a late end time like that pretty much ensures there will be hardly any or no snipers at the end.

Or it just shows that you should offer your items internationally if you want to get the best price for your items... This one was for Australia only!
The problem I have with shipping internationally is twofold: 1. customs (which I know I can work around) and 2. proving the package actually got there. You can pay for tracking but once it is out of the country it becomes a he said she said thing, so I would rather not deal with the whole hassle. So perhaps the seller felt the same way, I dunno. Or didn't wanna charge extraordinary shipping costs. I don't buy internationally either for the same reasons. I figure better to just wait if I am unsure, ya know?
$200 for golden bender NIB is the best I have ever seen him go for, so good job!
Unfortunately living in a country other than the U.S we don't really have the choice, I'd say all but maybe two or three of my figures have come from either the U.S or the U.K. I buy a fair bit of stuff internationally, not just these figures and I can't really recall anything being lost or damaged, so they are pretty good. I paid $130 for mine two years ago.
probably worthless now that its displayed.
I wouldn't say worthless, but yeah it does detract from its value a bit. did you keep the box?

As long as it's still in good or like new condition, you could probably still get close to $200 for it so long as you kept the box. Without the box - probably half that is my bet.

Yeah the design on the boxes is nifty, I keep all them on the shelf in my closet while the figures are displayed in a cabinet.
What I usually see is - item in like new condition with box imperfection (opened, dented, etc.) could probably fetchas much as 20% off the going rate of a NIB figure. As long as the piece itself is not in USED condition (chipped paint, smells, scratches, etc.) to the collector who wants the piece but doesn't wanna pay full price, it would be a nice compromise.

nacirema that bender isso cool. Do you think you could post a picture of all the universe 1 figures bender, fry, leela and zoidberg all together if you have them? thanks ! nacirema how much are you looking for your Blue Zoidberg? And are you in the uk or us? $80 plus however much the shipping is, depending on how fast you'd want it. I think thats a fair and reasonable price as futurefreak usually knows what she's talking about. MAC original three with planet express ship, I have an opened 'KILL ALL HUMANS' bender, but its just an apron, and hat. I actually preferred the apron verson over the elzar look toynami went with. if I ever get ahold of a swimsuit leela opened i'll snatch it up n replace the leela with the exclusive and put the hat/apron on bender. oh, and a talking bender. heres the universe 1, mom, roberto, the cast and robot devil. the backgrounds just the carded MAC fry, leela amd bender. series 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, mating season zoidberg, robot nixon, SDCC robot santa and bender. the backgrounds just the carded MAC plant express ship, toyfare exclusive swimsuit leela, wizard exclusive chef bender. rocketUSA metal series 1 and 2, nibblers on the podium. if you look. thouht i'd do a side size comparison for y'all aswel to show the slight differences in the glorious gloden bender n toynami original bender. I also retook a frontal with the doors open, and now its not sideways. ..freak, could you delete the edited post. well, there y'all go, proof ive got these figures and im not just someone claiming to . not that I thought any of you doubted. sorry for the sizes as i'm on a tablet and the internets kinda tricky to use via this thing.

I wouldn't fret too much abf, they get listed fairly often. Just make sure to save "futurama toynami zoidberg" or "futurama zoiderg figure" in your searches so you get notified daily when they get listed. Watch the auctions too so you will get the 4 hour prior to auction ending email.

I'm now just viewing these photos on an actual computer instead of a tiny phone...those are awesome pics, nacirema! Did you ever sell your Zoidberg?
Zoidberger: Hmmm...I'm not sure. If I had the encore Fry to compare him to, I would since my original Fry is open. Perhaps someone else here might be more equipped to respond to that query.
