Yes, Volume 7 came out in the US last year. The way things are going they'll have Volume 8 and be waiting for Volume 9 before we have Volume 6 ...

Bad news. I sent an e-mail to FOX regarding the Season 6 UK release. They had this to say:
"Many thanks for your recent enquiry and interest regarding the home entertainment release of Futurama S6. At present we do not have this title scheduled for an exact release.
However, we do value your feedback and we do review potential Catalogue titles for release on DVD, on an on-going basis and will forward your comments to our Catalogue Marketing team.
*some more marketing talk*"
So yeah... I guess picking up a region free DVD player would be to best option at this point.

I'm almost dead from old age, but finally I have a confirmation email from amazon advising that my UK Volume 6 Blu-Ray has dispatched, hurray! Better late than never I suppose...

Any idea when season 7 and 8 will be released in the UK?
I've noticed that amazon France and Germany have a release date at the end of February/beginning of March for season 7, but as for the UK... El Zilcho.
I've got the original series in that "complete collection" box, and bought the 4 movies separately, so I'll just buy the separate new seasons for my DVD collection as well. I do hope that at one point, they'll release a complete collection of all seasons and movies in Blu-Ray form though.

Well, I'm actually from Belgium, and in here Futurama releases are almost impossible to find. The original series was never sold separately on DVD. For a very limited time, they sold the complete collection (of the original run), but it went off the market pretty quickly. The packaging was also pretty crummy. In the end I bought a brand-new UK version of the complete collection from eBay. The movies are easy to find though, in Belgium. As for the new seasons, not a single one has appeared on DVD, not even 5 and 6. No release date either. I didn't know there were countries where all the new seasons have been released in Europe already. I looked it up, and Sweden is one of those countries. www.ginza.se sells to the entire European Union, and has all the DVDs in stock. The boxes are in Swedish, but the language of the discs is English, so I don't really care what the box says. Don't need subtitles either. I'll just order it from there, don't feel like waiting another year just to have the exact same DVDs with an English box... For some reason season 5 and 6 are packaged together, like this: http://www.ginza.se/product/futurama-sasong-5-6/328472/ . I kinda hope that inside, the two separate seasons are found. I could buy season 5 and 6 separately in the UK, but it's twice as expensive as on this website. Edit: Sigh... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivPmcOIk4EIOn this video you can see seasons 5 and 6 are indeed packed together. I guess I'll order season 5 and 6 separately for 12 bucks extra.

I actually prefer the individual DVD movie releases. The cover art for them is fantastic.

I have that exact box set. It was worth having until the blurays were released in the UK. The scandinavian versions do not look like that. There's no slipcase, and the box itself is black, not transparant grey. Also, this is what the back cover looks like I guess what I'm saying is that they are actually even worse, but definitely worth the price at the time. Also, they were released together because they are the same season (season 6)

No matter, I just bought the UK versions of season 5 and 6, and bought season 7 and 8 on that Swedish Ginza website. Didn't want that combined season 5 & 6 box when season 7 and 8 are separate. At least now everything will match. I'm hoping that sooner or later, they'll release the complete collection on Blu-Ray. As for now, my DVD collection is complete. At least you guys get all the movies packaged in a Season 5 set. We in the US have to search for all of the movies seperately. That's something, right?
We do? I remember seeing the four movies packed together in a simple white cardboard slipcase with Bender's head on it, but that's pretty much it. And that box came out when I had already bought them all separately as well. It's just annoying that Futurama is so unbelievably unpopular in Belgium. Hardly anyone here has ever seen the show. It was once broadcast on tv, but with little to no advertising, nobody watched it.

Yeah, that's really not the case, other than what Friender said. It's just annoying that Futurama is so unbelievably unpopular in Belgium. Hardly anyone here has ever seen the show. It was once broadcast on tv, but with little to no advertising, nobody watched it.
It's not so generally popular to begin with (being cancelled and all, now) while, I think, surprisingly widely known and watched. Still, it just doesn't have much general interest.

I think I should be getting season 7 pretty quickly, but it seems season 8 isn't in stock anymore on that Swedish website. It says it could last 6 months until they get it back... Crap.
I suggest you look elsewhere if you want it as quickly as possible, 349sek ≈ 34,90€. I just recently got volume 7 as they have just marked down its price with the release of volume 8.
I don't exactly mind the price, but if it's not in stock, it's pretty pointless to pay for it, of course. All I need is a region 2 DVD of season 8, if you have any other suggestions, I'd very much appreciate it As for right now though, ginza.se is the only website I found that has it in store (more or less anyway) ánd ships to Belgium.

Are all of you European lovelies waiting for DVD access because you want the DVDs or because you are waiting to see the newer seasons?
Most of us are just waiting for the DVD or Blu-ray, I think most if not all European PEELers have watched the newest episodes online.
