Bongo Comics at Wondercon

Found this on DeviantArt, some guy visited the Bongo Comics section at Wondercon and did a write up of what was said and questions that were asked and stuff, one particular part caught my attention:

Matt Groening, "The girly calendar from the episode of Neutopia will be the official 2013 Futurama 12 page calendar." (Basically the same ones that come out at the credits of the episode, plus some that were too dirty for TV)

Also, Bill Morrison on when plots from the show clash with plots in the comics and vice versa:

"...when the show was canceled on Fox, all of the ideas, scripts, and gags that weren’t ever used were sent to us to use at Bongo comics."

Interesting, although the Cold Warriors plot was similar to Cure for the Common Clod which was way before the show got cancelled. As for the calendar, sounds good! I stopped buying the calendars a few years ago, but I might actually get this one!...

They weren't joking when they said "Thank God most of our fans are huge perverts".

I think it's interesting that their real life marketing ploy is the same thing as their in-show one.

Well, seeing as how I haven't collected Futurama calendars since 2009 (too lazy to order online) I won't be getting this one either. Can you imagine what people would say if they saw Farnsworth nearly nude hanging in your house?

i usually hang my Futurama calendar at work. guess ill have to go Star Wars or something for 2013
