As proposed in another thread, if you are an individual (ie. not a business) and you are selling private collections of officially licensed Futurama merchandise, post it here, whether you are selling them to galavant around Europe or because perhaps you sleep in the urine-soaked hallway of your apartment building due to your place having become your personal warehouse. NO BUSINESS POSTINGS; All violations of this will be deleted. This is not, and will not be an advertising platform for any agency. This was only made to create some "order" with all the thread postings.

And I have stickied it for your pleasure :flirt:

Let it be known that of special import are the following phrases:

"NO BUSINESS POSTING"

"officially licensed Futurama merchandise"

"for your pleasure"

We're not supporting unlicensed (illegal) merchandise, and we're not here to serve as an unlimited free advertising agency for any business. If you're a business seeking to list your items, you'll need to discuss it with the site's owner and admin, [-mArc-] http://www.peelified.com/index.php?action=profile;u=45 and I imagine it'd take some cash to make it worth his while.

One of the big advantages of this thread is that it will allow those who PEEL over dialup or phone to get their fix in one thread instead of loading several different ones.

Finally, unless Randi says otherwise I think it's perfectly acceptable for non-sellers to post discussing the items up for sale. Think it's awesome? Say so! Think it's stupider than an extremely amateurish handmade Bender created from candle drippings? Say so!

Some of the coolest stuff I've seen in this board was unlicensed.  I do not know however whether items were bought or sold.

Well I created a thread sorta for that, under the Unique Futurama Finds (pretty much, any cool handmade items that gave you ideas for other things). I see some people have bought some of those things, myself included. I just thought it was a neat thread to discuss handmade merchandise ideas.

Yeah, feedback on items in this thread is definitely allowed, typically revolving around price. I really don't see a need to post your "wants" here because as I have gathered, many of the regular posters here do not sell off their collections unless desperate...and you can find most of it on the bay anyway, unless it is a unique item, like a signed animation still or something.

O.K. then. Here we go.

Have decided to put two of my pride and joy's on eBay.

Doctor John Zoidberg and Mr Phillip J Fry will soon be leaving me.

Both are in great condition, unopened and boxes are looking great etc.

I am starting at 99p as i did with my duplicates a while ago to give everyone a chance but these are from my personal collection and i have to say PLEASE do not bid unless you are gonna look after them. Here's the link

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/beer_monster_king/m.html?item=350544163939&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649&_trksid=p4340.l2562

Both items have been bid up from 99p to 50 pounds each? Interesting.

I see you have a 100% approval rating, so that's good anyhow.

Yeah it's one of those things you have to decide early on, whether to list it at what you think you'll get for it and get a few people interested, or risk starting it low and get more people interested who might upbid each other, but you might not get what it is worth. Here's hoping you are able to get the $200 each or close to it by auction's end. They'll probably double/triple the price in the last minute and you still got a lot of time left which is good.

I am watching a USED (nopackaging) Planet Express Ship auction but it's already way high for what it is (right now with shipping it is close to $40). Anyone local have that piece in the packaging, perhaps a double, they are looking to sell? I was looking to pay around $50 (max $60) for it, new.

Thanks Mr. Capper. Its not hard to have such good feedback as long as you let the buyers know what condition the stuff you are selling is in.

I decided to start bidding at a low price so that the bidders could decide how much they want to pay instead of telling them they had to start at a high price, everyone needs hope!

If they were to go for a low price i would obviously be devasteted but it is the chance you take.

And Randi yes i have a PE ship, it is sealed but the box is not in the best condition. The rest of my collection is disapeering so if you want this for the price you mentioned let me know how to send you the pics (have tried to put them in the thread but can't)

Ah thank you kindly for the offer! I was hoping more local to me though (US), so I'm not stuck paying customs charges. You will definitely be able to get it for the price I mentioned I would say, if a USED one went for almost 40.

beer_monster_king: I wanted you to know I was able to get the ship for $50 so I wanted to thank you again for the offer. Put it online and you will get at least that I imagine. It worked out too for me because I got it off Amazon, and for a month I've been wondering what to use my cashback $50 Amazon gift card on so it worked out perfect for me, all I had to pay was shipping :D

But yeah, I see that ship everywhere else for $75 +

Nice one Futurefreak! And the  best thing is you got it for free... Sort of!

Amazon is one of them places where i sometimes look but never seem to find any good deals. $75 sounds like a little too much for the ship but i suppose they are getting harder to find with it being almost 12 years old.

Anyway enjoy and the accessories will look great with the Toynami figures.

Come to think of it 12 years after the first figures were released the one thing we need now is a bigger and better version.

If things speed up with Toynami this would hopefully be a possability?

Yeah, I didn't realize the ship was so small (though it totally makes sense given it's the same packaging, doy), so it's crazy that I see it online for $75 + shipping! And the one I got still had the 12.99 price tag on it from 2000 lol. My how times have changed...

I took out all my MAC figures and now they are guarding my comic books :D

Times have changed indeed!

I paid £15 each for Fry, Leela, Bender and the PE ship when they first hit the shelves.

The Planet Express is valuable because there is nothing else like it out there but as for the others? Worth £20 each i think?

I agree Benderino.

The packaging and paint work are far superior with the Toynami figures. And of course there are more than four figures with the Toynami line.

On these edits of yours, I'm curious - has anyone here bought any, or are all your buyers from elsewhere? Sorry the curious cat in me had to ask, heh.

I only noticed the edits because the system is set up to mark the thread as "new" when it occurs.

Oh you're fine, you're an individual not a store.

Too bad you don't have Paypal because I might be interested in it depending on the price. I don't know if there is any other method you would be comfortable with using, I just prefer Paypal because it's a third party electronically taking the money so it's easy to trace if there is a problem.

I don't like all the restrictions and fees at banks nowadays but I have come to accept that they are a necessary evil in today's world :shifty:

You might want to also consider selling it locally to collectors or a comic shop.

If you could, message me what price you were going to set it at because now you've struck my curiousity!

If thay aren't local? I mean, I suppose someone could mail you cash but there is always the possibility that it gets stolen. Unless they put it in a padded mailer with confirmation or something. 3 bucks but at least you know it got there...

Since it'll cost you less than €5 to send a package to almost anywhere in the EU, and you can find those figures on eBay for less than the shipping price you're charging (including shipping costs from eBay), you're a bit of a rip-off merchant.

It's sad to think that PEELers may have fallen for your nonsense without checking these things first.

You're a bad person.

I could send a package via recorded delivery (which I'm going to go ahead and assume is just as good as obtaining a tracking number), fully insured, for less than €5 for the weight of one figure (packaged). There would, as far as I know, be no birds involved. This would cover France, Germany, Scandinavia, Spain, Italy, and Ireland (I'm in mainland England). Since you're in France, you should be able to do the same. Your "package with a tracking number" option smacks of charging more for something that's not really necessary.

Of course I have bought nothing from you. I do not intend to buy anything from you. I think that you are ripping people off. Why would I give you any money?

As I've said, people can find better deals than you are offering, and should therefore not buy from you. You might also want to work on your English, punctuation, capitalisation, grammar, sentence construction, and attitude. They all stink.

Look, I'm offering you helpful advice. That's worth more than money.

Everyone here should be aware of e-bay pricing if they are buying stuff online. Helpful advice, but if lamecius' buyer was in say, the U.S., they look like they are around the price, perhaps a few dollars more (though I never buy stuff outside the U.S. except maybe Canada).

I don't believe they are purposefully trying to rip people off, but try to cover the costs to anyone in the world like U.S., as I am sure these figures cost more than $5 to them originally. The figures left for sale are saturated in the market, if I recall they started with slightly less easier to obtain figures which I can see sold fast.

Helpful advice tnuk, but anyone who has money for a Paypal account should be adult enough to make their own informed decision about whether a deal is good or not for them (like I said, I don't buy from out of the country because tracking can become an issue, as well as customs/import fees).

If you don't like the prices he's charging then you don't have to buy anything from him. And if you wanted to offer "helpful advice" then you could have just asked about the shipping charges rather than calling names. Attacking his English on top of it when it's not his first language is just lame.

By the way, I got Zoidberg & Fry from him for cheaper than I would have paid on ebay.

Oh, I read that. I also won't be going elsewhere.

This goes hand-in-hand with this:

If you don't like the prices he's charging then you don't have to buy anything from him.

Whilst this is true, it's not going to stop anybody who might be stupid enough not to realise that they're paying over the odds for shipping from doing so. I think that ripping people off in that way is a pretty crappy thing to do.

...if you wanted to offer "helpful advice" then you could have just asked about the shipping charges rather than calling names. Attacking his English on top of it when it's not his first language is just lame.

Firstly, this is an English-language message board. Anybody using it ought to have a good grasp of English and be able to articulate what they want to say without sounding like it's been Babelfished from French to Spanish to Italian to German and then into English. They should also be able to use capitalisation and punctuation correctly whatever language they're blabbering in.

By the way, I got Zoidberg & Fry from him for cheaper than I would have paid on ebay.

As your profile does not display certain information (such as location), this is a pretty meaningless statement. In addition, eBay prices are not the only indication that €17 is too much to pay. A quick google search reveals that these are actually available for €12 to €130 including shipping (to my location). The €12 packages don't include the Robot Devil pieces, which accounts for the difference in price.

If you paid the prices listed in the first post (€31 for the two would be the lowest, based on the prices still up. Around €130 seems like it makes more sense), then you probably paid over the odds. Enjoy the thought.

Oh I misread, the little € symbol does not display on my phone (I'm on the computer now). I presumed it was dollars. Then I withdraw any knowledge of these prices, however I do know that Zoidberg is going for $200 american and fry is going for probably half that too. I paid $125 for my zoidberg. If both parties are happy though that's all that matters.

Zoidberg and Fry with Robot Devil parts are indeed going for phenomenal sums. But if you take a look at what a collectibles dealer will give you for a MISB Zoidberg with Beelzebot part, it's only a fraction of what you'll pay on eBay.

The "value" and "worth" of these products are being distorted by the market right now. It's probably a better idea to wait until the prices drop a little, in the next couple of years or so if you're a "serious" collector without a huge wad to back up your thirst for merchandise.
