PEE Poll: What do you think of Toynami?
I love them and collect them all.
I really like them and have some.
I like them, but I don't have any.
I don't really care for them.
I'm just here for the free food.

i caved, and opened all my firgures, except my extra blue zoidberg.

i felt like a kid on christmas day.

the robot devil was hard to put together and his feet are awkwardly bent i'll have to do the hot water trick.

not as many inconsistancys with the paint as i thought, still the only figure with visible to the glance paint inprefections is my alternate universe leela.

all in all i'm very happy with the figures and kick myself in the ass for not opening them sooner.

I wish I had some of these figures. I just don't have the money or the storage space.

Wow, I didn't think I'd see the day, nacirema. Good for you! The fun part is putting them in strategically humorous and scandalous poses smile

I am not really a fan of the already scantily clad though, like swimsuit Leela figure. Reminds me too much of those japanime figures. It is obvious who those figures were intended for no no

However posing the innocent figures...is way awesome laff

yeah, putting them up was and still is the hard part.

i figured since i'm never going to sell these why not? since 2007 i've been wanting to put the robot devil together and since they'll never leave me i thought 'what the hell'. now all i gotta do it find some way of showing them all. i still got the packaging aswel. and they look spiffy next to the entire MAC line, minus the randomly places swimsuit leela who looks nothing like the rest.

Yeah that's exactly my thinking. If you know you aren't gonna sell them just have fun with it! I put my MAC on another shelf from the Toynami. cool It was hard enough to fit the alternate universe guys with the rest.

Have you been able to stand all of them? A few of mine wouldn't balance so they were placed in the back row carefully balanced against the back board.

the only one that stands awkwardly is the robot devil, but since he's gotta tail, i just bent that so that IF he does fall, it'll stop him.

i got my MAC ones but i don't wanna display them until i get a swimsuit leela one that's outta the package. i had the collect-a-pak and then got all 6 carded for $120. so i'll wait until i get a toyfare swimsuit that's in the box to display 'em.

still can't beleive i waited this long to take them out. i wasted five years staring at them.

This is kinda a good deal if you don't have the original Zoidberg (w/ the robot head) + the blue Zoidberg IMO

Nacirema, it's about time you opened those suckers, now you can really enjoy them.

Some of the figures are a little wobbly, but generally they all stand fine for me. Robot Devil once took a swan dive off the shelf though and his horn broke off. Fortunately, it glued back on nicely and now I keep him at the back of the shelf, lol.

all of them are standing fine for me, and since the robot devils got the tail that keeps him up. i did the hot water trick to his feet and it didn't work, maybe if i put it in near boiling water it'll work. he's in the back so unless you're looking directly at his feet you'd never know.

my professor is alittle wobbly but he's still there.

i also opened my rocket USA diecast series one and two, then looked on eBay and they're goin for waaay more than i got them.

now i just got this extra blue zoidberg i'ma have to eventually sell to put into the destructor fund. tho i keep looking at the toyfair 2012 pictures and that gender benders looking more and more apealing. i wish they'd just release the mafia, flexo, MORBO and LURR, maaaan, then this display would be tits.

buuut, i waited years to open these, i guess i can wait.

This woodpecker on the upcoming Kidrobot Wooden Bender is pretty funny...

http://blog.kidrobot.com/product-preview-futurama-wooden-bender/

Kidrobot kicks ass when it comes to accessories and little touches like this.

Have to think if there's any way to add a woodpecker to my Toynami Wooden Bender, lol.

Ohhh, he's 6 inches tall. When someone linked that on the last page I didn't read that part and presumed they were charging $50 for a regular sized Kidrobot. Now I might get it. I am a little worried though on how cute it will be at that size, since the aesthetic appeal of the kidrobot line, at least to me, is their small stature.

I think alot of us would love to spend alot more cashola on Futurama figures, except that Toynami doesnt understand the part about, "Shut up and take my money!!!" :/

I finally bit the bullet and bought a set of kidrobot figures - partly because I like them, partly because I want the accessories (Bender's cigar!) and partly because I'm bored of Toynami not wanting to take my money! lol

6 inch kidrobot wooden bender?

i don't think it'll keep it's 'cute' aesthetic as a full sized figure.

tho, i might just have to get it for the woodpecker.

i still don't understand why if there we're only 1,000 made, and you had to get them at SDCC how is this site pushin out so many?

and the delay is because of?

Shipping (4-6 weeks) and customs I guess.
Maybe they were at the SDCC and bought as many as they could. You cannot loose money on that I think. ;-)

you couldn't buy more than two at a time.

so i'm to believe that they sent numerous people, bought them for $40 and are making a measly $10 off them?

i'm not stupid, and i hope they keep getting delayed.

Why the hell do they keep delaying it? I can understand it being delayed once, but it's getting delayed so much?

It doesn't take that long to ship something from the US to the UK. It's been delayed since February on Play.com alone. It was supposed to be out in November originally. That's over 6 months by the time it's here on June 8th, that's if it isn't delayed again.

Maybe they don't actually have the stock after all...

my sentiments exactly.

they have you all fooled.

and delays are something you have to be used to dealing with the sh!t company toynami has turned into..i don't believe any of these figures have actually been released when they're supposed to be. all except the SDCC exclusives but that's because they're only a limited quanity. as is the destructor. they have you waiting for the production destructor because there was no way a company could purchase a large amount of a limited figure. and if that's the case if they do release another SDCC exclusive i'd like to see someone go and get more than two of them, and prove that they themselves got more than two. because if it isn't that way, play.com sent alot of people to the convention and that's just a shame for real collectors not looking to make a buck.

I said a while back that we wont see it before the end of summer. I always order my futurama stuff from play.com, and they haven't once kept to a release date. The way it usually happens is that if it doesn't turn up about a week before the release date, expect another delay.

basically, you have a better chance of sh!ttin up 100 plus on ebay before you get anything from play.com or forbidden planet.

if you really want it, go to ebay.

because guess what, when that next release date comes up, it'll be delayed again, because they don't have the exclusive. they're waiting for the production version.

So who here is thinking of ordering the encores of Fry (yet again) and Prof. Fransworth due out in September along side the only truly new figures  (Talking Robot Devil and {half new} Tineez set 1.2) just so they can repaint/mod them?

I'll get the Talking Robot Devil (perhaps 2, like I did with Bender - gave one to the bf) and the Tineez because dammit, bee Bender is so damn cute. But the only Encore I have is Bender for the idea I stole from EvilPDA when I actually came across a Lot online of just nixon's head and 2 podiums - I did put Nixon's head on Bender's body and it's great. Now all I need is a little blue car for Bender's head and all parts will be used big grin

So no, I don't plan on buying any more encores, unless I had a specific purpose for them like that.

Yeah can you upload it? I can pop the disc in my player but would be nice just to have here smile

I had a little blue car from my childhood, it was rubber, it would be PERFECT for his head if I could find it lol. It originally held like a Bernstein Bear or something haha. It might have been a Mcdonald's toy, that's what I've been searching for. I don't know that I necessarily want a metal car because his head itself isn't metal.

So..something like this or this? Expensive little guy (though they are diecast models for trains and all).

Here's another cheaper, slightly bigger one. The problem is at these scales I don't know if the head would even fit in the front seat (though you do want a car where his head will be a much greater scale than the car itself, trick is to just fit the head in the seat).

Thanks for the photos EvilPDA and robotsanta666!
