If anyones keen, let me know.  I want $1000 AUD for them (plus postage to wherever you may be), and would prefer to sell to a fan/collector (not a child who may spoil them!).  So if you're a fan of the show and don't have any of them - get in touch.  Email me at: thekipper at hotmail dot com.

I'm not going to put them on ebay any more (not enough interest) and it was suggested by other members of this PEEL to reach out to fans of the show.  So here I am!  If no one here wants them, i'll put them back in the vault!

They are UNOPENED, BRAND SPANKING NEW.
Glorious Golden Bender (1/1000)
Alternate Universe Fry and Leela (1/2000)
Robot Santa + Santa Bender (1/2000)
Mating Season Zoidberg (1/2000)
Alternate Universe Zoidberg (1/2000)
Series 1 Fry (w/ Robot Devil parts)
Series 1 Zoidberg (w/ Robot Devil parts)
Series 2 Leela (w/ Robot Devil parts)
Series 2 Zapp Branigan (w/ Robot Devil parts)
Series 3 Bender (w/ Robot Devil parts)
Series 3 Kif Kroker (w/ Robot Devil parts)
Series 4 Nudar (w/ Robot Santa parts)
Series 4 Captain Yesterday (w/ Robot Santa parts)
Series 5 Superking (w/ Robot Santa parts)
Series 5 Calculon (w/ Robot Santa parts)
Series 6 Cloberella (w/ Robot Santa parts)
Series 6 Amy (w/ Robot Santa parts)
Series 7 Hermes (w/ Roberto parts)
Series 7 Farnsworth (w/ Roberto parts) + Nibbler!
Series 8 Mom (w/ Roberton parts)
Series 8 Chef Bender (w/ Roberto parts)
Series 9 Wooden Bender
Series 9 URL

So thats 23 individual packages, all complete and unopened - the parts included to biuld a second Robot Santa, the Robot Devil and Roberto as well. All together 28 figures (plus Nibbler!)

This would be better off in the PE Stockroom.

I think you'd be more successful selling them individually than as a set, tbh. Most of the people here who are fans of the merchandise probably already have a mixed bag of your combination above. I can see why you would want to sell the whole set, to try to ensure a collector would receive them, but given your rare pieces you might get more individually with a few pieces than you would with the whole set. Up to you, though. Just something to keep in mind.

What's the going rate for a series 1 Zoidberg because I'd love one but can't seem to find them anywhere?

I'd be interested in:

Mating Season Zoidberg
Glorious Golden Bender
Series 2 Zapp Branigan
Series 3 Bender
Series 7 Farnsworth

Would you be willing to consider giving me an individual price plus shipping for each? Your "lot" price of $1000 AUD suggests that $35-40 would be a fair price per figure... so would you be willing to accept $250 AUD for what I've listed, plus the shipping cost? I'd be able to send the money via paypal, and I'll be looking to purchase these after the 10th of January 2012. Let me know if this proposal sounds acceptable to you.

They've gone back on ebay (for the last time) and a German Futurama fan has begun the bidding.  By the end of the auction everyone should have a fair idea of what their collections are worth (in real $'s, not sentimental value!).  I dropped the starting bid to try and kick things off and i'd be disappointed to not reach $1000, but thats probably unlikely given the time of year.

Spread the word if theres someone you know who might be keen.

It's been a great ride collecting these figures and its a damn shame to give them up, especially with the imminent release of Destructor.  Unfortunately i need the money and am also a little pessimistic with Toynamis future plans for the line.  Good luck everyone and its been real nice chatting with you all.    KHS.

They ended up selling for $1025 AUD - so thats probably what you can say an entire collection is worth.  There are other buyers out there that might pay more (afetr the ebay bid ended the initial German bidder contacted me and offered me $2000 AUD incl. shipping (approx $250 i'd imagine) for the entire set, if the winning bidder fell through.  Just thought i'd let ya'll know!  Happy holidays people!

That's weird that the German guy didn't just upbid the other one - either way, congrats on being able to sell them all! I wasn't aware people would actually buy the whole collection unless they are just starting out, or looking to resell individual pieces.

That is weird. So the German guy lost the bidding at $1,025, but then came back and said he'd pay $1,790 (plus the $210 shipping)? Doesn't make much sense as to why he wouldn't have just put in a high maximum bid, though he could have dropped the ball I suppose. I'd be leery though of someone coming in offering a pie in the sky amount "offline" after the eBay auction ends as could be some funny business.

Anyway, well done selling these in one go and over a thousand doesn't seem too shabby. Shame you have to part way with these, but c'est la vie, collections come and go. At least it's probably going to a good home in terms of someone who's going to value it as a whole collection, rather you selling it off in pieces. Nice chatting with you, all the best.

PS. Where is the winning bidder from? Just curious if it ended up being an Australian with a lower shipping cost or someone abroad ponying up for the big international shipping charge.

Yes the German said that he had no internet connection at his Aunts where he was for Christmas, so missed out - but he could have put in his max bid beforehand so his loss.  I agree, a bit shady offering a deal afterwards (especially that much) as he could have reckoned that i'd have offered him a 'second chance' if the winning bid fell through.

Buyer is from the suburbs of Melbourne, so stays in Australia which I suppose is good in terms of collections being flung all over the world.  I'd bet that 3/4 of the figures remain in the US.

I'll keep my eyes on these boards as i'm still interested in the "goings on" and the tedious "Days of Our Lives" style script that is the Toynami head office!  Always good fun!

Ah, a buyer in Melbourne, well that makes it all the more appealing with the shipping going from an eye-popping $210 to just $55. Well that's good, figured there was bound to be a Futurama collector in your neck of the woods who'd be interested in these.
