Looks good. Shame about the corner squares.

So, it looks like I won't be getting it:

Me or Danny? Neither of us is in the US, so while it can be ordered it won't come to us.

Sorry, I didn't notice you two can not preorder it. I can't preorder it neither then.. unless they accept a non US credit card.

I asked them (USAopoly) months ago via Twitter about a UK release, and they said we can still order it off of the US website. I realise some of you guys aren't in the UK, but still, give it a shot. ;)

The site doesn't allow entry of a non-US shipping or billing address. I wouldn't know about cards, but it could allow it.

Hm, the card with Billionaire Bot on it says 'Billionaire Robot'. :hmpf:

*edit* What a bunch of lying assholes. Now look what they said:

@DannyJC13 Unfortunately, we R only allowed to ship w/in the US or Canada. If you can use a US or CN address you can order from UK.

Thank the Lord, I'm actually having something else sent my way by an Ameri-friend of sorts soon. I'll ask them if I can add Futurama Monopoly to the package.

Sucks for you guys that you can't get it shipped to Europe.  :hmpf:

Maybe I'll order some extra ones and sell them on Ebay for those unfortunate few who can't have it shipped to them.

Next time I'm at the comic shop I'll ask them about it. I've seen a few Monopoly variants there in the past. It won't be a preorder version, but Leela's boot isn't overly appealing and Bender looks better silver.

How did they choose Leela's boot as a presale only too? Haha.

Anyways, Pre-Ordered today. They are based in California so I had to pay tax too, it came to over fifty dollars but well worth it.

I bet some of you UKers could pay American PEELers to ship a set to you. Would be a little expensive, but it would work logistically.

I like the board, but why didn't they do anything to the corners? -sad-

It's a shame as I would have loved Captain Riker's Island as jail and Smitty and URL on the "Go to jail" space.

Perhaps "Welcome to the world of tomorrow" instead of "Go!".

But still, I'm happy with the board, especially as it's still a property based game. So many of these themed Monopoly games have you buying characters instead of places.

From my understanding USAopoly has to keep those corners the same because Monopoly wants their game instantly recognizable. Also helps to keep their name on it I suppose as well. Legal complications could certainly come from changing the whole board, essentially USAopoly would be creating a copy of the real deal, "ripping it off" as you could put it and could potentially attempt marketing themed games without Monopoly's permission or something. You know, complex and sucky legal stuff.

Neat! Although that might just be for the promo boxes.

Looks like the Monopoly variants at the local comic shop, or at least some of them, are usaopoly games, so I might be able to buy one after all.

That's awesome. Does that mean they've started shipping the games out already or is it just some sort of pre-pre-release box for reviewers and other vips?

I received my Futurama Monopoly Sneak Peek package yesterday, I made some remarks about it at:
http://slurmed.com/news/2011-09-23/futurama-monopoly-collectors-edition-sneak-peek-package

The Planet Express Box that you've already seen:

Close up of the Bender Golden Token, People Hive and Resi-Dome:

Sheet with the Al Gore uncut 500 dollar bills:

Planet Express delivery form signed by Amy Wong:

I also need to take a photo of the mini Monopoly box that came with the package.. it is sad because it has nothing inside, it should had the Chance and Comm. Chest cards like stated in the Planet Express delivery form... Amy lied to me! :nono:

USAopoly will only deliver the Golden Bender token and the Leela's Booth token until Sept. 30, 2011 preorder.

Does that mean they've started shipping the games out already or is it just some sort of pre-pre-release box for reviewers and other vips?
Is mentioned in the package that the shipping of the preordered Futurama Monopoly will start in mid-october. This neak peek package has the items I listed, but not the full game.. :( That would have been great to fully review the game..

Looking good so far. I think they could have made Nixon's head a bit thicker for the $10 bill, but nonetheless those pieces and bills look pretty sweet. Liked the Planet Express feel for the packaging, with the delivery box and the form signed by Amy.  :D

Good to see they're sending promotional material to you and then telling you they won't let you order the game in your country...

Certainly cool looking. I'll keeping my eyes out for when this comes out in hopes of it appearing at the local comic shop.

Well, since the promotional material is sent without paying anything, there are no issues with logistics of shipping and credit cards..

I believe the USAopoly preorder page uses a system that only allows to send the item inside the US (and Canada I think). I don't think they are sending the product, but using a company to do so. What they did wrong is say that you'll be able to preorder the monopoly from any country when that was not true.

Well, I contacted the people of USAopoly when there was a rumor of the Futurama Monopoly on twitter, and I asked them if that was true. I exchanged some emails with them, and I let them know about the Futurama Monopoly thread that was created back in 2000-2003 at PEEL so they can grab ideas from there.

They try to listen to the fans somehow on facebook and twitter, so I see they sent the sneak peek package to some Futurama websites including slurmed.com :D in order to let the fans know about the game.

Hey I just saw on the site that you can now pay with a overseas billing address if you have someone you can ship it to in the US (I have a friend of friend willing to send in along to Oz).

It isn't international shipping but it better than before and at least their site seems to work now as described.

I just saw this in the USAopoly ordering page:

"Game ships in November 2011 and you will not be charged until your game is shipped"

USAopoly has delayed the shipping..  :hmpf: I thought shipping was mid-october...

I imagine some of you got the email, too.
