Sorry, the dreaded double post.
This has just been listed on eBay though:-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FUTURAMA-SERIES-9-SEALED-CASE-BRAND-NEW-BENDER-URL-/360414444861?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53ea5ffd3d#ht_4711wt_1604
So thats £35 for a case of the most recent releases.
4 Wooden Benders and 4 Urls for 35 quid.
Looks like Dungeon Stone was right, they have invested too heavily in the most recent waves and can't get rid of them.
That's the problem that smaller companies like Toynami have to potentially deal with. It does seem odd that they wouldn't have protected themselves though by having a termination clause in their contract with the retailer that detailed out a payment to cover production costs in the event of the order being dropped. The only thing that I can figure is that it was either a bad call by Toynami's lawyers or the retailer in question could have gone into some degree of bankruptcy protection.

I just wish they'd tell us what was going on .
Wasn't Destructor/GB supposed to be in stores for xmas?!
Another problem is when manufacturers start liquidating their unsold stock to clear it out, it makes purchasing agents for retailers become wary of ordering a new wave of toys from the same line. Their reasoning is.. "If the last wave sold so badly that Toynami has to almost give it away, then interest in the toyline is probably dying off and I had better steer clear of this new wave".

They need to start releasing the popular secondary characters now like everyone has said. Characters like: Scruffy, Sal, Slurms, Elzar, Yancy Jr (w/ Seymour ), Cubert, Hedonism Bot, Leo/Inez Wong, Blatherbot, Hypnotoad etc. Maybe also one time characters like Harold Zoid, Alkazar, Lars, Bigfoot, Free Waterfall Jr and "that guy" might be interesting? As for larger figs, I think an amazonian would be cool, as well as the original Were Car.

Ugh that box is so un-Futurama-y... It looks like the front of Clank from Ratchet and Clank...

Finally!!!!
I really like the box personally, sort of reminds me of Bioshock. I agree it is completely different from other Futurama boxes but this is only the exclusive. If I remember correctly when the regular Destructor is sold it will come with Gender Bender and they may have those ones in a traditional Futurama box. Whatever they do I am super excited to bet my hands on some more toys from my favourite show.

If you went to the SDCC 2011, you could pre-order it earlier. Toynami mentioned way back in July, that they will launch this figure as a regular release later on. I asked this:I also want to know when the people that didn't go to the SDCC 2011 will get the chance to buy the Destructor Futurama figure, like you said here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=143931339017512&set=a.138949412849038.34395.124287344315245&type=1&ref=nfThey replied this:Javier: The delays to this edition meant delays to the regular release as well. When we have updated info, we'll let you know here. Thanks! --- So far, I think we could get this figure in the near future.. even for us that didn't go or are to far away from the SDCC
