It's coming.

Unless they cancel it again. Hard cover this time.

OMG! I forget how many years I've been waiting for this, I've lost count but it seems like forever! I've never seen that cover before so I'm guessing it's actually happening this time. I have them as individual comics, they're all awesome. I'll be picking this up if it actually comes out...

You know how many damn times they've canceled this thing? Literally almost five times. Sure as hell better be in hardback to make up for it. I've been pre-ordering it ever since it started popping up, only to be disappointed every time it gets canceled. Here's hoping it's still pre-ordered on Borders from, like... a year ago when they said it was coming out.

Here you go the hardcover image:

I created the english cover from the german cover that is available in amazon.de. A bigger version can be found at TFP

Perhaps the comic is really coming in a hardcover version this time

Look what I got! Yes it's a thing of beauty, it's actually really well made and quite classy I must say. The slipcase rocks, and there's loads of concept art and stuff which is awesome to see. I took a few pix...

Ooooo. Looks nice. The local comic shop didn't get any in last week, but they seem to be listed at some bookshops. The hunt begins Thursday...

Meanwhile, I was wondering whether "Hail to the Cat" and "Chili Chili Bang Bang" are in there.

I'm going to guess that, that won't be out in Australia yet and not for a really REALLY long time.

In fact I'm starting to think we don't exist.

You are not quite right. http://www.angusrobertson.com.au/book/simpsons-futurama-crossover-crisis/7215611/ is the shop I was referring to, not an Australian release, which most likely won't occur, but it is in the country. Comic shops shouldn't be too far behind because their stock is mostly imported.

I’ve just had another look and yes both Hail To The Cat and Chili Chili Bang Bang are in there too. I didn’t even realise until just now! This really is an exceptional package. They’ve really taken the time to put this together as best they possibly could. Anyone who buys this will not be disappointed!...

I must order that
PS: Whay have a Gamecube next to your Wii? Back compatibility rocks!

Because I don’t like the aesthetics of having Gamecube controllers sticking out the top of the Wii, and it’s too much effort to keep plugging them in and pulling them out again. I’m anal like that…

I take it there's no chance to get this in the UK/Europe yet? I recently invested in the four existing paperbacks (getting the actual comics seemed like a huge hassle in Sweden) and I'm now on a never ending campaign to make them print more trade paperbacks.

I'm from the UK, England to be precise. Amazon.co.uk got it to me no problems, so you should be fine.

Btw it also has a foreward by Matt Groening!...

It's actually out, and I'm not dreaming? I'm sooooooo gonna search for this at every local book store. I prefer them over ordering online because the postal service is full of inconsiderate bastards who like throwing my boxes about as if they were playthings.

The Angus & Robertson in the city Sydney's CBD (the one I found anyway) didn't have it so I got it at a giant Dymocks I found after making a wrong turn.

It really is quite an impressive package with quite a bit of heft to it.

My local comic book store here in Sweden is not allowed to sell it. Apparently it was restricted to US/UK :/

Amazon.co.uk, here I come!

(and I mean it must be good, Dwight bought five shares!)

Well, I went and picked up a copy today from Borders and I gotta say this book really is fantastic. There's lots of goodies included within the book, and the slipcase is sturdy. Well worth the $27.95 price tag. The slipcase itself has the Simpsons on one side and the Futurama cast on the other, the case being non-shiny and the characters..shiny, just like on the other Futurama TPBs. There's a cut-out in the middle that shows you the book's cover, which has the opposite pictures, so it's like looking through a wormhole. The actual book has a shiny cover. Inside is a forward from Matt, and then the comics themselves, followed by bonus material!

GO BUY THIS DAMNED THING NOW!

Quote from: Wikipedia
A foreword is a (usually short) piece of writing often found at the beginning of a book or other piece of literature, before the introduction; this may or may not be written by the primary author of the work.

He spelt it wrong, though. Matt, as you'd guess, is Matt Groening.

I wouldn't get it because it seems like The Simpsons dominate it.  I'd rather see a comic book crossover of Futurama and American Dad.

I would prefer if it was just Futurama. I don't really care for The Simpsons anymore.
Buuuut that being said, I think I will buy it tomorrow anyways. haha.

First: a crossover of Futurama and any other show other than The Simpsons would be pretty stupid, really.

And second: The whole crossover is basically a Futurama comic, so I fail to see how not liking The Simpsons really comes into it.

I love these comics, but there's one thing I didn't get. When Hermes gives Smithers the salt shaker and he says something like "she reminds me of someone" who? It was in 'Somewhere over the brain-bow!'
