So, I was searching the interwebs for possible patterns for a homemade Nibbler plushie, and I came across this blog entry:

Quote
Rocket USA has released some shots of their upcoming Nibbler plush from the fantastic cartoon Futurama. Out of all the characters Nibbler is my favorite, and this plush would be amazing for any fan of the show.

Unfortunately this version of the plush is still awaiting approval from Fox, but as long as all goes well we should see Nibbler plush hitting shelves in September of this year. They'll be a pretty good size too, as Nibbler's plush version measures in at 9 1/2 inches tall! I can't wait to see if they do other characters as well, and I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for Nibbler in September.

I'm not sure about the plushie itself (the mouth looks off to me in the accompanying pictures, especially the full frontal), but I'm still really excited by this news.  Has anyone else heard anything about this toy, and if it was ever approved by Fox?

Geat find Officer1BDI, although this is an odd item on a couple of different levels.  First, RocketUSA is a retro tin-toy maker so a plush is a little odd for them to be making.  Second, didn't Into the Wild Green Yonder have a plush Bender in it?  Wouldn't that make more sense to produce?
Either way, the plush looks really good and well made.

I would buy it just to have it, though it is definately off at least a bit.

I always wanted a Tickle me bender, like from the show.

Aww, I think he's cute. My only dislike is the eyes. I wish they were more centered, so it appeared he was looking at you, versus what they decided to do. Where the hell is my Fry plush, dammit? And if/when they make one it damn well better be actual size.

Someone on the board used to crochet dolls. I think she was from Moosejaw Canada. Anyway she made one for me. It's way cooler than that one. sorry if nobody cares. I'm an infrequent poster so don't be too annoyed by me.

It's cool, but it face seems squashed (unless it's a the pitcure).
I still want a Tickle Me Bender.

Looks like those interested will be able to get better looking official Nibblers.
It seems that the Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive of Toynami is not an action figure:

"Futurama plush Nibbler: Kicking off our new line of FUTURAMA Collector's Plush is the Comic-Con Exclusive, Nibbler in Shiny Jumpsuit!"

http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_exclusives.php?company=toynami

He looks better than the rocket USA one. There will almost certainly be a diaper/cape version in wider release. But what other characters could be used in this line? Most don't really fit the stuffed toy model. Bender, Brain Slugs, Slurms and Horrible Gelatinous Blob seem appropriate. Possibly a Zoidberg. Hopefully no humans in this line, they'd probably look bad.

Damn Comic Con exclusives. They'd better release a "regular" one. I want to see a Tickle Me Bender with phrases and a pullstring and possibly some cute accessories. I think Toynami would be onto something if they made a brain slug that clipped into your hair. It could be plastic or plush, I don't care.

I think if they were to do a whole line of plush dolls with the cast of Futurama I'd want to see them in Pook-A-Looz style. What IS a Pook-A-Looz doll you ask? One of these bad boys. Personally I can picture this horrendously adorable Zoidberg in my mind when I think of plush toys.

I ordered one of the Comic Con Nibblers on eBay and now found out that Toynami doesn't even have them there; instead they just handed out vouchers to people who wanted one. I have to say it's pretty poor to advertise something like that and then not even have it at the actual event. I'm considering just canceling my order because I have no idea when these things will actually go out.

It's a shame because they looked really cool.

It kind of looks like someone may have backed over Nibbler with a car.

I got my Comic Con 2010 exclusive Nibbler, its pretty cool. Did anyone else manage to get their hands on one of these. Apparently they only made 500, and they are going quick on ebay(i have seen only a few), so if you want one, I would get on it.
