So, I was searching the interwebs for possible patterns for a homemade Nibbler plushie, and I came across this blog entry:

Quote
Rocket USA has released some shots of their upcoming Nibbler plush from the fantastic cartoon Futurama. Out of all the characters Nibbler is my favorite, and this plush would be amazing for any fan of the show.

Unfortunately this version of the plush is still awaiting approval from Fox, but as long as all goes well we should see Nibbler plush hitting shelves in September of this year. They'll be a pretty good size too, as Nibbler's plush version measures in at 9 1/2 inches tall! I can't wait to see if they do other characters as well, and I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for Nibbler in September.

I'm not sure about the plushie itself (the mouth looks off to me in the accompanying pictures, especially the full frontal), but I'm still really excited by this news.  Has anyone else heard anything about this toy, and if it was ever approved by Fox?

Uh.  Its eyes are looking way too up for my taste.

Geat find Officer1BDI, although this is an odd item on a couple of different levels.  First, RocketUSA is a retro tin-toy maker so a plush is a little odd for them to be making.  Second, didn't Into the Wild Green Yonder have a plush Bender in it?  Wouldn't that make more sense to produce?
Either way, the plush looks really good and well made.

I would buy it just to have it, though it is definately off at least a bit.

I always wanted a Tickle me bender, like from the show.

Aww, I think he's cute. My only dislike is the eyes. I wish they were more centered, so it appeared he was looking at you, versus what they decided to do. Where the hell is my Fry plush, dammit? And if/when they make one it damn well better be actual size.
