He'll always be involved in an occasional manner.
He mostly just does stuff for Bongo now, doesn't he?

Solicitations are in: http://theinfosphere.org/Futurama_Comics_69 - it's Rogers and Lloyd.

The SDCC trade should be about four issues long based on the page count.

Instantly fallen in love with the cover, as many of you may or may not know I have a weird obsession with the Cryo-Tubes, Applied Cryogenics and the night Fry got frozen.

Can you update the infosphere (and myself) as to what issues this collects.

I've been told the first issue is USA #37 "Full Metal Racket", but what are the others?

Anyway, nice get, and I want it!

We know 104 pages. Can you confirm which issues it is, or are you behind and don't want to flip though due to spoilers (understandable)?

Please send the link of the app of Futurama  comics!!!!!  :D
It isn't released, there's no date and details are limited to the fact that it is coming. The link said as much.

Interesting that they're also not in production order. Looks like they picked out a few of the better ones and avoided a certain penciller.

Dunno' what other people find annoying about him.  For me, he seems like a great guy, but his personal character style leaks through to the Futurama characters in his drawings.  Badly.  Way beyond off-model.

I think that's the point.

It's a comic.. not a TV show, the characters can be done in any and all styles.

The Futurama fans are just a little insane, that's all.

Oh, I see what you mean Tachyon.

I don't know if it's just me, or I think that the Futurama Comics have been slowly getting better! I mean I can really yawn at some of the old ones. (I have a PDF of every comic, and only 2 physical comics, which are the Tartar House Five, and Board Game Games). But alot of the newer ones really keeps me into it. It's like I yawn less at them now. Issues 60-65 were great. And issue 67 was awesome.

That Board Games one was pretty boring to me. I didn't really like it. Tartar House Five, was pretty damn awesome. And now Patric M. Verrone is writing the new one coming out later this month. Sounds promising enough to keep me entertained! :D

Maybe all we need are these comics! Screw the new episodes! The Comics are dominating power now!

Okay, I take that back. I like them both the same.

Mike is consistent with his models, but his models are bad. In contrast, someone like Delaney, who can, on occasion, draw the crew perfectly, but in the very next panel a forehead will be way too far forward, or Fry will be way too short, or his obsession with SRS FROWNY FACES will get in the way of a scene. It's jarring.

Animating comics would be mighty difficult, friend. You'd be hard pressed to find such an achievement outside Harry Potter world.

Wait, isn't that what Comics are all about though? Not drawing the characters perfectly? But at the same time, they don't deserve to look like a 4th grader drew it.

Looks like it's fan made to me, simply because most of the characters are off-model.

Haha! (The picture was of Mike Kazaleh's work. ;))

I just bought a Matt Groening signed Futurama Infinity Comic for only $85 !

I know, why didn't I get the Destructor/Gender Bender figures?

There is only one explanation for that: This was signed by Matt Groening! And has a Nibbler doodle on it as well! What an honor to keep!

I just got the newest comic (Issue #68), and I must say, this has gotta be Mike Kazaleh's worst art yet. For example, the Robot Mafia looks off-model (Especially the Donbot). It doesn't look really bad, but some panels, the characters look pretty bad and really off-model.

The story, is really confusing/complicated. Imagine a more complicated version of Follow the Reader. Well, this is basically what falls under that criteria. It had a few great jokes. And it's a pretty interesting story.

I think this should have been a Season 7 episode, replacing Saturday Morning Fun Pit. I liked SMFP, but this was definitely better. And would have worked as a non-canon Futurama episode.

I think this was another real fun issue from Patric Verrone. With Patric it doesn't seem so much the story is the thing so much as it is playing with the sequential art aspect of the comic. He is always trying to find ways to push the boundaries of the reader experience and giving us multiple ways to read and enjoy the issue.
While I prefer the art to be better the static scenery and character situations is more suited to what Kazaleh does so he is most appropriate for this type of story. I am not sure I would want to see James Lloyd or John Delaney pencil an issue like this since they are both so good at doing scenery and backround characters and all the little things that really bring the comic to life. Tone Rodriguez is coming along nicely as well. His first issue was a little rough but he is coming along nicely in depicting the Futurama universe. All in all there is a nice stable of Futurama artists out there doing some really nice work and am glad to see some new blood coming to the title and doing some fun stuff.
For more on Futurama Comics 68 check my revamped A Big Piece of Garbage website. It's now in blog form you know.
PS, got some good stuff waiting around the corner.

Patric Verrone should have made this be the non-canon episode, instead of Saturday Morning Fun Pit. I liked Fun Pit. But I think more of the fans (such as myself) would have liked this alot more.

Very fun issue where Farnsworth invents a machine that can erase your short term memory!  It's another comic where they don't go into space, but stay in the building.  Kind of reminisant of issue #14.  Bender only has one eye in this because Farmsworth uses him as a camera to help the crew remember the events.    Bender uses the machine to his advantage to scam Amy and The Robot Mafia.

However, the Donbot was drawn differently.   Nice twist with Scruffy at the end.  Fry and Leela kiss, that should keep the shippers happy.  Scruffy's been getting some attention lately in the comics.   "I know you're up to something, Bender!"   As Amy keeps saying in this!

Very cool comic, and it was worth the wait!  The comics make up for the show ending.  Just like 10 years ago.   The only problem is that there's no preview for issue #69, like there usually is at the end of the comics.  Wonder why that is?

5/5

My favorite so far is Tartarhouse 5!  Can't wait for issue #69!
