Yeah but no idea where the nearest one to me is. Could I do it at a local grocery store? They have kept subscriptions for me in the past.

If you were to subscribe at a UK grocery store, chances are you'd be subscribing to the UK editions which are different. Based on the fact you said 54 (which has only just been released in the US) instead of 59 (current UK number), you'll want to use a comic shop. My local store (in Sydney, Australia) has a subscription-like system, but you need about four monthly comics for a pull list if I remember correctly. I just order things or visit the shop on a weekly basis. It may vary between comic shops obviously.

Incidentally, is anyone in Australia still getting issues from newsagents, do they still sell them in non collectors editions?

Sorry for DP, well TP with the stupid DP glitch above, but does anyone know where I can get hold of the latest issue of Futurama in the UK? Not an import, a UK copy. I can't find any online...  frown

Here's some ideas of what Issue #54 should've been instead of Leela getting sold into a pet show:

Lrrr has his own public access show.

Fry, Bender, and Zoidberg go on an Arabian adventure and dress like concubines!

A Hermes, Amy, and Zoidberg story.

An evil Zoidberg clone kidnaps Fry.

A "Balloon Fight" parody.  (An old Nintendo game, BTW).

They go to a planet that's inhabinanted by spiders.

They go to a western planet and Fry and Bender get captured by an evil sheriff and Leela and Amy have to do a rodeo in an arena to fight off a bull.

Fry, Bender, and Zoidberg become volunteer detectives or maybe even firemen.

Fry and Bender post an embarrassing APP video of Zoidberg drink that makes him snap.

A Bender, Leela, Hermes, and Amy adventure!

A Leela and Amy adventure!

Another Bender and Hermes story.

Fry, Bender, and Zoidberg go work at a resturant to find out about a missing diamond.

They go back to Orisrus 4 and Bender becomes a gladitor and Leela and Fry are slaves.

Mom and her sons build an underwater base.

Why couldn't issue #54 have been any of those ideas?

I'm skipping it.  My ideas that I posted would be better for issue #54.  Glad someone agrees with me.  It's out of character for Leela to be like how she was in that comic book.  Why didn't she beat them up?  Why did the writers make Leela be the punching bag?  That was utterly cruel what the writers did to her.  I would be upset if it happened to Amy.    Why wasn't Fry and Bender kidnapped to a pet show?

In the meantime, to make up for it and to hold me over until issue #55, I ordered one of those Roman Dirge comics instead.

WOO! I finally found the OFFICIAL site that sells the UK version! Subscribed and ordered issue #58. #59 wasn't there. =L

Also, I ordered #54 from eBay thinking it was a UK copy, and it was alright, bit short and... Well, just like a crappy episode like The Duh-Vinci Code...

Saw AU#45 at a newsagent today, guess they haven't cancelled them here, although I'm not sure why it was delayed since November.

Kurt, it may be time to stop freaking out about the solicit:

If anyone was out of character it was Morbo and Kif. Even so, it's the worst issue we've had in a while.

No clue, solicitation should be out soon though. The IP user who added that title seems to be getting titles correct months before the solicitations (which don't usually include titles). Chances are they work at Bongo.

I just bought the number 59 UK edition. Pretty funny with Leela subbing as Mom. I put the sticker of Leela on my cricket bat. Maybe I'll get more runs.... nah.

Where'd you get it from? Can only get up to #58 on the site, but I think it's because they are issues that have already been out, not ones out ATM.

I thank you LobsterMooch, without your wisdom I would not have found Futurama comics.... =P Been looking for AGES.

They used to be monthly?! *Sigh* cry Americans having to wait every two months for an issue isn't that bad, but we have to wait 4 months! 3 issues a year! Come on! mad cry

@LobsterMooch At my WHSmith it was a Spring bumper back, so I guess your WHSmith must have really old issues in the back! =O

They make bumper packs of old Simpsons/Futurama issues to get rid of existing stock. At least that's what I think.

Danny, keep in mind that your UK issues are two US issues combined.

Issue 56 has now officially been solicited for July (no date, probably 27th). Name's a little different comparing the solicit to the Wikipedia edit. Looks like Fry's getting a new job that's more-or-less the same as the old ones.

Do the Futurama comics come out every month (or couple of months) in the US and Australia? Or do you have to wait every 4 months like us brits?

willsterdude, our Futurama Comics are 2 US ones put together to make one issue. So they get a single story every 2 months, and we get 2 stories every 4 months. =P So it's like:

America - 2 Months 1 Story           2 Months 1 Story       2 Months 1 Story

UK -           Nothing                    4 Months 2 Stories        Nothing

Etc...  wink

Personally I wouldn't bother with the UK versions of the comics. Find somewhere which imports the American ones, that's how they're meant to be...

Are the UK ones different from the ones in the US?  Or are they the same?  I remember when I collected Sonic comic books, I heard there was a Sonic comic in the UK by Fleetway.
