Pretty cool custom KidRobots on eBay...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Futurama-Kidrobot-Alternate-Custom-Golden-Bender-Fry-Leela-Zoidberg-Zapp-/121082022258?pt=TV_Movie_Character_Toys_US&hash=item1c310d0972

not sure why they made Zapp though.

It looks like his dark robe to me. I was thinking of Love's Labours Lost in Space but I'm not sure if that's the one I saw it in...maybe it is...I'm thinking of when he's walking away with the "champaggen" :laff:

I'm also realllly tempted to make the alternate universe customs, but first I need to get two benders, another fry, and another leela.

Any news on a release date for the blind box series 2? Also the 8 inch figures.
Word on the street is there is going to be a new blind box series and 3 6 inchers released this year.  Zoidberg, Robot Devil and HEDONISM BOT!!  They were super hush hush about it at Toyfair, but a couple of sites leaked the info.

I'm really looking forward to the new blind box series. Just seeing what they'll look like will be really clool. The Professor, Amy and Hermes are pretty much certain. Scruffy is likely too. It'll be interesting to see who else they pick from the vast cast...

That'd be so cool if I did.

Do Sal and Slurms come in the normal blind boxes? They're all blurred out on the back of the box. If so, what is their ratio?

Yes, not sure what their ratio is, my gut is telling me somewhere around 1/50, robot devil is 1/96. And yes they come in normal blind boxes.

The ratio for Slurms is 1/48 or 2/96.
For Sal it is 1/32 or 3/96.

So there are 3 Sals or 2 Slurms for every Devil they produce.
Or 2 Zoidbergs for every Sal.

Here is a link to both Sal and Slurms on ebay to see what others value them

It looks like Slurms MacKenzie is going up in value along side the Robot Devil. I paid $45 for Slurms back in September and Sal for $25 around the same time.

Wow, I'm happy I was fortunate enough to get the pieces at the regular blind box price of $9.99 (plus 10% off - yay barnes and noble). Seriously who opens a box and leaves Slurms on the shelf? The foil part was never opened but when I felt it...I could tell it was him from the flat bottom.

The robot devil I got was sheer luck. Last one left unopened on the shelf at urban outfitters, but when I squished the sides I could feel plastic and tell it was not like the rest...

One of the cheapest Robot Devils I have seen. He usually goes for over $100, but apparently he's recently been going for $85 and up (but hasn't sold for that low in over a month)...so if you are in desperate need of this one, I'd recommend hitting the BIN, or risk it and place a bid. There is another one on there with a BID of $85 so that means someone would have bought it had it been listed sooner.

Are you sure it's Series 2? The description on the site says:

Quote from: Entertainment Earth
• Futurama Vinyl Mini-Figure Key Chain!
• Includes 1 blind-boxed vinyl mini-figure.
• Line features a dozen character designs, including Bender, Robot Devil, Morbo, Fry, and more!

Give your desk at work an animated sci-fi makeover with the cast of the TV show Futurama! This blind-boxed Futurama Vinyl Mini-Figure stands 3-inches tall. The line of figures based on characters from the TV show Futurama includes 12 different character designs, including Bender, Robot Devil, Morbo, Fry, and more. Part of the fun is you never know which character you're going to get!

It isn't a second series per-say. The previous ones are not "Mini-Figure Key Chain"s.

Expect to see repeats, likely scaled down. May include Hypnotoad. Will include the ones they said.

That's lame, colour me very disappointed. I was hoping for a proper series 2 of figures, all new figures, not key chains and repeated characters. Otis is sad now...

Not sure if his comments are still valid because it was a couple years ago, but a while back at the ComiCon here in NYC they had a Kid Robot panel. I asked the guy specifically if they would ever release a second line of Futurama blind boxes. He said he would personally love to but it didn't make business sense to them. His reasoning was that once you have already released the main characters (I.E. Fry, Leela, Bender, etc.) your demographic of potential buyers shrinks considerably. Although diehard fans like us would kill for a figure like Free Waterfall Jr. or something, the average person isn't going to spend money looking for these ancillary characters. I had no choice but to sadly agree with him... We'll see though. Hopefully they changed their minds since then.

Right...forgot about that. I would prefer new characters to keyrings of the old ones, unless they are like a zipper pull size. That would be pretty cool. I'd definitely like to get multiples of those.

There are still a lot of main characters they didn't do though:

Farnsworth, Amy, Hermes, Kif, Scruffy.

Then they could finish off with the likes of Calculon, Roberto, Nudar and Santa.

I've had the first Kidrobot Futurama series since last year, but looking at it I'd always get annoyed by Nibbler who just throws the whole scale out of whack. So I finally said to hell with it, took him out of the display and replaced him with an accessory-sized MAC/Toynami Nibbler. Now I feel much better and I like the set! lol
