I went to FP near Covent Garden this weekend, and they had some Futuramas.  I spent my money on Yummy Dessserts though.

Blindboxing is stupid.  Its a great idea in theory, but I think if you are paying the better half of a tenner or something, you should be able to get what you damn well want.  It doesn't encourage me to buy more, most of the time I just buy two or three, and think "Well, if I don't get the one I want, that's too bad.   It's a shame, because there are probably four or five I would buy anyway."

I would love to get them all, but it's the price and for something that you aren't going to get 100% (because of not being able to see through the packaging).

Exactly.  If there's only one or two I want, I will completely give the series a miss.   Blidn boxing should only be things that cost less then a dollar/pound.

To be honest I think the blind boxing is partly what's put me off getting these as well (along with money/not having enough space etc). They are awesome though, one of my friends has some on their TV cabinet. One day perhaps I'll take the plunge into the darkness and try my luck...

Don't do it man.  As someone who has bought loads in the Yummy Breakfast/Dessert/Doughnut series, it's a dark and expensive road.  Unless you can stop yourself at 2 or 3 and say NO MORE I AM NOT SPENDING ANOTHER FIVE/SIX/SEVEN QUID

These are one of my favorite Futurama products and I wouldn't mind having a few in particular on my shelf, but I don't think I can get any around here and the blind-boxing is irritating and makes it not worth it. A shame.

Hahaha. I'm counting right now, I have 27 Yummy Dessert keychains and 27 Yummy Breakfast keychains (wow, I swear to Zombie Jesus that was not done on purpose). I bought probably like 12 of these when they went to 40% off at Borders a few weeks ago. And I still don't have them all  I think I am missing two or three from each line, but I somehow did manage to get the blacked out rare ones! :D

Anyways, back to Futurama. You guys could do what everyone else does and buy them per case, carefully open the corner to reveal the figure, keep the ones you want, and sell the remaining on Amazon/Ebay (as long as you keep all the packaging together, foil and everything). That is how I got a lot of the ones I didn't have. I just ordered a Sal off Amazon this last week actually, once I have him my set will be complete, along with doubles or triples of every character hahah. If I was accustomed to selling things online I could have, but it's Futurama - I'll just spread the extras in like the bathroom and such :D

I think the only ones I don't have doubles of are Bender, Robot Devil, Slurms, and when he arrives, Sal.

Have you got any doubles?  I dearly want the ice cream from yummy dessert, and the pancakes/croissant from Yummy Breakfast.

I don't have doubles of those unfortunately, sorry :( Maybe we can work out a trade when you come to the U.S. if I acquire them...? :D

I'm weird. I'll buy like 6 at a time and have an "Opening Ceremony" in my car with my boyfriend as we try to guess which one is in which box. I know, I'm a bad person for making him just as crazy as me.

I live in England (Shropshire), and haven't been able to find a real world store anywhere that sells Futurama products. Does anyone know any, maybe near or in Birmingham? I love the products but I don't like ordering it all online, would love to go in a store and see the stuff first hand.
Also I have 3 Kidrobot Leelas if anyone wants to swap? I was buying blind boxes from dinkybox.co.uk which is a great site, but they have sold out now. I bought 6 blindboxes and got: Sal, Zapp, Mom, and 3 Leela.

I know Birmingham well and I know of at least two shops which sell Futurama merchandise there. My number one pick is a shop called Nostalgia & Comics, it’s not far from The Bullring, I’d say a three or four minute walk at most. It’s probably my favourite comic shop in England that I’ve been to, very good selection of stuff there even though it’s not that big. It’s big enough though and they have stuff crammed in everywhere including Futurama figures. I don’t remember seeing any Kidrobot Futurama figures though, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have any...

Also there is a Fobidden Planet in Birmingham, kinda on the opposite side of the main shopping centre. Their store locater on their website shows the exact location. It’s alright, not the best Forbidden Planet I’ve been to, but you might find some decent merch there...

And now to order some yummy plushies while they are still available, and to have to wait at least a few monhts until I can pick them up, because Kidrobot refuse to sell them in Europe.

I think maybe the idea is that if you had friends who also had the toys, you could do swaps, but obviously most people don't have other frwiends ho collect them.

We should start a petition to get rid of the blind boxing.

Full price was $9.99, now they are $5.99 or $6. I noticed though like with the Yummy Dessert KidRobot keychains, these blind boxes went to 40% off long before any of the books did.

I got a Zoidberg for the $6. Not bad considering he is on Amazon for $30, and the box had already been opened by the manager as I previously stated.

Sal just arrived today, so I have completed my collection yay.

If you order specific pieces from Amazon though, don't order from Whiddenrobot. I mean yeah the piece came, but it came with two others (Zapp and Mom) and he shoved three figured in two boxes, on top of actually marking an "X" on the box over which figure it was. And just bubble wrapped the blind boxes, not even in like another box! I was skeptical ordering from them because they have only been active for a few months, but I needed my Sal and the offer was too tempting (with shipping was around $30 for all 3). I haven't run into problems like this with any other seller, everyone else has snipped the package to verify it, kept it in the box UNMARKED, and shipped THAT box in a regular cardboard box. One guy even wrote me a thank you note :)

Back on topic, I'm wondering if anybody would be interested in selling me their doubles. I mean, it might be an easier way to build a collection than buying a ton of them blind-boxed.

Anybody got a few doubles they want to get rid of for a bit of drinking money?

say, can anyone tell me what Lrrr's accessory is? I snagged an opened Lrrr from my local book store/nerd heaven for half price ($4.99), but he was sans his accessory. I figured it was a good enough deal, not having it be blind and all to pass it up. Besides, I couldn't argue with his face. It said "Buy me now, human or suffer the consequences!" I'd be interested in photos so I could make it myself outta Sculpey or if anyone is super amazing and has an extra lying around... I'd scour eBay but I'd prefer not wasting $5 on shipping or something stupid for a tiny accessory.
