Registered just to ask this question that I haven't been able to google for. :)

Will the movies be released as a regular season on DVD as well, e.g the split-up versions with extra content? I liked the movies but they don't compare to the season 1-4 episodes on pure humor and pacing IMHO.

Unlikely. The season is basically the movies that are already on DVD. So there wouldn't be any point to release it. The season was just for TV anyway.

Apparently, there was news about this on TLZ, though its writers seem not to remember it.  I think it was Quolnok that brought it to my attention.

Apparently, the box set will include all 16 episodes plus the two special episodes.

The only thing that would compel me to buy this hypothetical Volume Five--other than my desire to support the show and be a big ol' nerdy completist--would be new commentaries on the 16 pseudo-episodes. I think they'd be interesting, and offer some new insights, especially now that the DVDs have been released and the writers are aware of all the critical- and fan- (and critical fan-) reviews.

Indeed.  What made the DVD commentary for the aired episodes interesting was that they commentators already knew the response.

Just for posterity, http://www.futurama-madhouse.com.ar/archive/arc11-2008.shtml the amazon link seems to be deactivated for now - but it is on their store still http://www.amazon.com/Futurama/e/B001CFZMK0/%22

I saw something on Amazon about a new season coming to DVD.  One of these two possibilities:  Maybe the movies will come back as a season on DVD, or maybe a season six on DVD!

The Amazon link lists five seasons, but clicking on each "season" pops up the episodes in the TV broadcast seasons (five broadcast seasons = four production/DVD seasons).  The listing for a "season 5" DVD set seems very likely to have been a mistake.

Several noticeable bits missing. But there is that new Torgo's ad, and the title captions - add some commentaries, special features and it could be worth it.

Dude, is there a reason you're capitalizing every word? Is it intended as a comedic gimmick or do you actually think it's proper grammar? Either way your posts read all stattaco and Shatner-esque.

And Stevin Hawking Is The Smartest Man In The World So If I Sound Like Him I Take It As A Compliment.

Yes you see he "speaks" through an obsolete vocal synthesizer that sounds like a constipated robot, so it really isn't a compliment.

But all that nastiness aside (and thanks for mentioning the failure of my life's work - very classy) - WHY are you actually writing like that? Beside the fact that it's hard to read, completely incorrect, and makes you look like you never went to school - it would actually take much longer to type then if you did it properly.

From that I can only assume that it's a deliberate passive-aggressive effort to annoy people.
That being the case, I'll ignore you, starting... now.

Maybe he needs a lesson in title case.  When to use it and when not to use it.

Ironically, title case is becoming less and less in favour, even for titles, newspapers are preferring sentence case over title case these days.  The cite reasons such as; ugly, no standard rules and generally pain in the ass.

It typically also look a lot more professional to write in sentence case most of the time.

You cite other forums who do not call out on you for that.  But yet fail to do the important part of the equation:  What are these other forums?  All other forums I have been to would have thrown you at the gates if you typed like that.

He just sent me a PM apologizing to me for bringing my novel into it. That was decent, but the funny thing is, he was able to do it in sentence case.
