@hobo bot: Epic list, I would gladly make room for all those amazing characters. While it would be awesome to get all those, I think we will probably get a few Bender Variants before some of those fringe characters.

Personally, my most desirable characters in order of preference (not including Lrr and Morbo as they are already announced):
Scruffy
Cubert
Dwight
Elzar
Preacher Bot
Slurms and a Grunka Lunka
Hedonism Bot

Yes Another Head In A Jar, I think you are right, it is inevitable that we will have a couple more variant Benders in the coming series'. Although I am not overly keen on more of them, it is what it is and if it helps keep the line going I am all for that. It is proven that they sell well (as pointed out previously less than two weeks for Wooden Bender - which looks awesome i must add - to sell out), this keeps the money rolling in to produce more figures down the line. As for variants, high on my priority would be as suggested by Jabalong, a Pimp Bender with fur coat, jewellery, cane etc or The Gender Bender. Both would be great additions to the line.

I know this variant would probably never happen (new mould and wouldn't be recognizable) but Human Bender would be grotesque and fun.

I've thought about a human Bender before but kind of discounted it. There's the regular human in his underwear or equally Homeresque jeans and white t-shirt, but he's just a regular human, not too exciting. On the other hand, there's in-between-conversion glowing green half-human Bender with a limp antenna, but wouldn't make much sense I suppose as he was just that for a few seconds lying down. Or there's full-on get-him-a-forklift humongous version, which I've thought was maybe too gross. But now that I think of it, and since we're getting large-size figures made now, maybe the big blob human Bender would be cool. Though he doesn't look like a Bender per se, the sheer ridiculousness of him might have broader shelf appeal. I'd be down for him.

Now that build a figures are not part of the deal, I'd most likely pass on a human Bender.  Sorry.
I was trying to think of some Bender that stuck out from this new season, but I couldn't think of any really that stuck out.
I think a Bender with a top hat and cigar would be great.  Give him some new eyes(those poking out eyes that were mentioned), I'd be happy with that.  I'd want the cigar to be un-removable personally.  Like a fancy Bender.  Personally I don't need huge changes in Bender.  I'm fine if they treat him like a Mr. Potato head!  Pretty much same body but you get new stuff and body parts every time.  I can understand if others aren't on board with this thought.

What would you guys think if Toynami did a Planet Express Crew set?  Like a re-release of the whole crew in one box set?  Just the figures, no accessories?  I wouldn't mind.  I think if they can't make more of the encore line, then all at once would be cool.  I say that, thinking it'd be a cool display piece since I have all the figures out of box now.

here's a crazy idea. how about a to-scale Planet Express spaceship? :D I mean Hasbro made a two foot tall + AT-AT this year and it was a huge seller for them. and just to get even crazier, have it complete with sound effects, lights, and random Sigourney Weaver sound clips.

I'd buy it.  I've been wanting a scale model of the PE ship for a while.  I'd prefer a plastic model that I could build and paint myself, but a pre-built one with lights and sounds would be cool too.

Unfortunately, as cool as a scale PE ship sounds, the market for people willing to spend a lot of money on stuff like that is exponentially bigger for Star Wars than it is Futurama.

This is why I suggested Ship as a build a bot, granted we'd need over 10 series for that to be possible...

long time reader first time poster.  i've grew to love you guys input on this line of toys.

my thought is they could do as MAC did and release a couple stands that turn into the PE lounge.  the whole scaled up version of the ship would really only sell the the die hards. i think it'd be more economical to do that than a ship.

awesome idea tho, i've always wanted a display for the toynami figures.  the MAC ones were alright.

Good call, Nacirema!
I think stands would be great!  Especially ones that you could line up to make a bigger scene.  If an Elzar is released, a kitchen background would be great to put him and Chef Bender in front of.
I use the Suicide Booth, planet ground and Cryogenic Camber stands with the figures now and they look cool, but with so many figures now, it is a little uneven.  If build-a-bot is gone for good, background stands would be a fantastic replacement.

i've loved the whole build-a-bot part of the line, as i think it add a little bonus to getting the initial line.

i am for a whole line, two or three waves, of just robots. with a build a human part.

or toynami could release a scene, be it the lounge, the ship, etc.  kinda like what star wars figures get.

in all reality i'd rather just see the line go on forever.  until they have all the major characters.  but until scruffy comes in a figure this line will never be complete.

Yes I think the stand thing going forward would be a nice variation, although im more in favour of any kind of build - a  - figure. The Mac stands are a great addition to a display, I have all three in my dioramas and they go very nicely with the new ones. I think the message for Toynami is clear, MORE ACCS, no matter how small or inexpensive.  :)

I mean Volume 5 the DVD, it was released Tuesday.  It has the 13 episodes that have aired so far on Comedy Central.  I do not have a picture of what I speak of but what made me think of it is that it shares the same Wooden Bender picture that SculptBoy's 'Happy Holidays' card has.  It is a a piece of paper about 4 inches long, 5 tall and has that Wooden Bender pic on it and says Futurama along the left side (Bender pic on right) and also says "Action figures by Toynami" on it.  That is all.  Also has the Toynami website in small font at the bottom.  The background is white and grey in the pattern of the Japan Rising Sun flag sort of way- like in the opening credits of Futurama.
It's nothing amazing, just cool that they are advertising the figures!

Doh, the DVD, thanks. That's a very cool idea to promote the figures to the fans buying the DVDs. The flyer's nice and big, and ought to be good for a bump in sales.

I don't think the guy who made that video understands why it's in paper and not hard plastic. All the movies were like that because they were going with the "green" trend seeing as they had all those green episodes with Al Gore's support. It was not "cheaply made" for the SOLE purpose of more money, though don't get me wrong I'm sure that was a factor.

The paper box is only for US distribution, everywhere else gets that nasty oil-based plastic. It kills baby seals and makes penguins cry.

I'm not a big fan of the "green" packaging just because it does seem cheap.  I know the reasons behind it, but the nerd in me thinks it looks weak on the shelf.  Volumes 1-4 are these nice, big collections, then volume 5 sneaks along side in this easily squashed paper sleeve.  It feels very separate from volumes 1-4 but it does match with the movies, although not in artwork.  Anyway this is off topic.  Sorry.

I'm guessing talking Bender will be in a box much like Morbo and Lrrr would be.  Maybe he's the first in the "deluxe" figures.  I think if Toynami jumps at it, when the cartoon returns in 2011, they could have great sales with new figures, deluxe figures and especially some re-releases like Zoidberg.  Maybe even something like a Bender 3-pack, three previous Benders and a load of eyes!

It's humorous seeing them advertise DVDs for shows that FOX themselves pulled the plug on.

My bet is on Elzar being the next figure.  A great character, something to go with Chef Bender and good options on accessories as well.  He also appears in a lot of episodes.

I'd also like to see Scruffy (with a copy of Zero G Jugs) and also have the rest of the alternate universe crew collection finished.

As one final thought, I'd find it very funny, but not all that surprising or interesting, if they released a Flexo bender variant with goatee for a limited edition convention figure!!!

All the toynami ones I have my sister got me, but I bought some of those little mini metal figurines (I don't think they're by toynami) and I really like those.  I think they only made one set though. :hmpf:

Oh, I have superking too... my sister likes to get me Bender mostly... and one of them was a display Bender from the comic book shop she used to visit, it held a lot of sentimental value for them. :)
