Anyone heard how much the alternate universe Fry/Leela are/were selling for SDCC?

The new figures all look sweet...

If you look closely at the little sign beside them on the pic jabalong it says $30.00, Have to zoom in a bit though  ;) Not a bad price for them considering. Anyone notice chef Benders alternate eyes!?  :D

Ah, you've got better eyes than mine, hadn't noticed. Well $30 sounds reasonable, sadly so far I've seen $59, $69, $79, etc online. Anyone come across any better deals on them online?

I wonder if the Bender chef will have 3 new expressions. That'd be cool. I also like how they changed Hermes glasses. It seems more in line with the style of the cartoon.

I hope we get some more accesoires though. Hermes should have a brainslug and the Professor should have at least one of his props (H-what if machine, fing longer, parabox, Guenter monkey with bowler hat). I know we're getting pieces to construct another figure for free but I think these figures should come with some character specific extras.

I'm really very happy with Mom's fatsuit though. It almost makes her a two-for-one figure.

So yeah, cool stuff Toynami!
Just an accesoire here and there plz?
And Morbo and Lrrr in series 9! ;)

Here's what the new SDCC exclusives look like in their box.

Thanks for the pics, Jabalong!  The alternate universe figures look sweet, but the idea of exlusive figures makes me ill.  If they were easily available I'd pick them up, but I won't play the game (or pay the price) to get hard to find figures.  They should put the alternate universe figures out instead of rereleasing some of the first line figures.  Sigh.  Oh well.

The Roberto figure looks sweet and I can't wait to finish out the PE Crew.  Hopefully they come along on a more regular basis than the last set of figures!

Still narked, I won't be getting my Clobberella until August. Allegedly Amy will be here by the end of next week but I'm really not holding my breath.

At least you have a date. I havn't even received that yet. Bah.

Cool pic Jabalong, am i the only one who is glad to see this is a window box this year and not blind packaged like Robot Santa and Santa Bender from last year??  :) Just a pity that they have the exact same accessories as the original releases, granted in a different colour, but the same none the less!

Anyone know or heard of any accessories for the new figures yet? I see Chef Bender has a wooden spoon and at least one set of new eyes, Mom has the fat suit, and Professor has Nibbler, but apart from that all is quiet?

Heads up...BBTS has Fry and Leela U1 for pre-order...$ 49.99
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=TOY10361&mode=retail

Wonder if I could get a 5% Military Discount...

Also, my calendar says July is almost over. Hermes better get here soon or he's getting demoted.

Yup, I put in my preorder earlier today. It's one of the best prices I've seen. The only better one was ToyRocket on eBay for $44.99 and those went too fast for me to grab one.

So I went with BBTS and did a preorder on Hermes/Farnsworth at $23.99 while I was at it. You can choose their "pile of loot" option where they hold everything and ship together.

Now if only Hermes/Farnsworth can show up in August...

Well my Clobberella figure finally arrived today. I'm quite pleased with it it's well made and quite solid. Just got to get me a SuperKing and a Capt. Yesterday now.

What I'm not happy with is that Forbidden Planet put a load of shredded newspaper in as packaging filler and it's got absolutely everywhere, inside the box etc and theres dust stuck to everything. I had to open the box to try and clean it out which I'm not happy about as I prefer mine still mint in the box. Plus the cardboard backing on the box where it's designed to be hooked on a rack is torn...

Minus several million points, FP. I don't think I'll be ordering from you again.

If you're ever up London way, FP have had Super King for a while now, and did have Captain Yesterday as well.

No sign of them getting Cloberella or Amy yet, but they did have a restock of Zapp and Toynami Leela recently.

Fry and Leela U1 came out pretty good, although the Fry that I got has noticeably darker skin tone that original. Also, looks like Toynami finally updated their website to include the latest release and exclusives. Interesting that they didn't include Golden Bender. I wonder if they'll re-release. Hope so, because the cheapest ones I can find are around $100. Anybody here try buying an extra Bender and spray painting him gold?

Given that series one Fry was too pale, I'd say that's good.

Zoidberg, in a way, is kinda cute. But he always is, some of the time. But I must say,  toynami has captured the futurama style well. The figures look very detailed, and very colourful as well. Can you get these on amazon? I think you might be able to, as you can get nearly everything off amazon. My 7 year old sister thought they were made out of play doh, or doh doh like in that episode.

I highly doubt there's a maximum number of posts you can make a day. A rule about editing posts rather than posting five times in a row in one topic, sure, but not a post limit. Unless the posts are nothing posts, which is a whole other issue. But this isn't really my place to make such a decision. Nor hobo bot's.

On topic, Entertainment Earth is now estimating September for the reissue of Bender and Fry and release of series 7, and December for series 8 - however they did push back the estimate for series 6 unnecessarily at least once and Big Bad Toystore still has the other dates.

Oh yeah, I finally got my Amy and Cloberella about a week apart from each other. I wonder when the next ones will arrive...

I really an not particularly enamoured with the build quality of these things. Amy can't move anything except her arms and head and she has a couple of paint and casting flaws on her. Her skin is really dark. She looks more like she's from Indonesia than anywhere Chinese. Cloberella can barely move her head at all - not surprising given the huge mass of hair she has. But she also has trouble balancing for the same reason. Most of them all do to some extent. You either have to stick their feet down or get them into awkward poses.

Also her wrists.

Unless you plan on playing with them, the limited poseability isn't a big issue, especially since many of the joints aren't great looking. Just look at Nudar and Fry's hinged elbows.

You have all the ones I have, assuming you forgot about Nixon. There are exclusives that you may have wanted; here's a handy list. Also I suggest using less capital letters.

But even the couple of joints on the Toynami Leela don't look great. There's some massive gaps in the shoulders!

The head on the MAC Leela is a little off compared to the Toynami one (I think it's the way they did the eye) , but it has more 'personality' to it, if you can say that about a plastic toy, and while the joints and sloppy paint drag it down a bit, the articulation means that you can get a lot more than 2 poses at best from it.

And of course it has the right hair colour!
