seconds before Bender dies in: Anthology of Interest 1 (2ACV16)a famous song (folk song or classic?) is played for a few seconds. You can hear it at the end of clip 5 if you go here:

Please tell me the name of that song if you know it.

The only songs from the episode that were played as I recall were Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" and Hanson's "MmmBop".  I don't remember hearing any other songs played on that episode besides those two.  Maybe I'm wrong?

the song I`m thinking of is only played a few seconds. It starts just before "big" Bender dies.
It`s some kind of folk-music i think. Please just follow the link I put in my first post and listen to the last 4-5 sec.

I don't think it's a "real" licensed song, like Iron Man earlier in that episode.  I believe it's a Christopher Tyng original, just part of the show's soundtrack.  If you recall, the same music plays when Fry laments Bender's desire to drift forever "but through the American Southwest!" in Godfellas.

Anyway, the only place you're going to find the music is in a sound clip from the appropriate episodes, which I don't have, but someone else might.

I was afraid someone was going to say that. It’s just that the song sounded so familiar when I first saw that episode. Hmm....that just sucks

Well, thanks to everybody for your help and time spend on my search. You’re a great community!

It reminds me of the theme from M*A*S*H, a little.

But yeah, its a Chris Tyng original - but don't feel too sad - all composers rip other people off, whether intentionally or on purpose, so if you look around at the genre of music that you consider it to be in (folk music, in this case) you are likely to find similar things, particularly if you go for the mainstream stuff. O n top of which, you might find something totally different that you really like  :)
