Here's the synopsis for 'Futurama Comics #25' due out this May

Futurama Comics #25
by Boothby & Kazaleh
Gather ‘round and hear tell of the three "deliverers" who fell from the sky, and liberated the good and filthy people of Bottingham... and of the metal rebel who threw off the chains of oppression and over taxation and without faint heart challenged the dastardly sheriff the one who robbed from the rich, gave some to the poor, and kept most of it for himself Robot Hood! Hear ye! Hear ye! Futurama Comics will set you free this May!

Sounds pretty good.

Here's the cover:

This sounds awesome!  I'm looking forward to that!  However, I don't even have issue #23 yet.

I think the British comics are different entirely...not sure though.

Also, my local Waldenbooks doesn't have #25 yet, but I did get #24 and a clerk's phone number when I went there earlier (hot nerdy bookstore clerks...God's greatest gift to mankind.)  I can never figure out the schedule on these things anyway.

The reason why it's issue 32 in England is besause the UK comics are different to the US ones. I think the UK versions are A4 size (slightly bigger then the US versions) and released monthly, where as the US versions are releases bi-monthly. In the UK ones the stories are also split in half so you buy one comic, read the first half of the story and then wait a month for the second half (or something like that). I think they also use a different publishing system.

Publishing system for the US comics

Issue 1 - "Monkey See, Monkey Doom!"
Issue 2 - "...But Deliver Us To Evil!"
Issue 3 - "The Owner Of Mars Attacks!"
Issue 4 - "DOOP The Right Thing!"
Issue 5 - "Who's Dying To Be A Gazillionaire?"
Issue 6 - "Xmas Time Is Fear"
Issue 7 - "New Year's Rockin' Evil"
Issue 8 - "Planet X-Press Men"
Issue 9 - "Freaky Fry-day"
Issue 10 - "Big Sweep"
Issue 11 - "The Cure For The Common Clod"
Issue 12 - "Sideshow Fry"
Issue 13 - "The Bender You Say"
Issue 14 - "Six Characters In Search Of A Story"
Issue 15 - "Fry Me To The Moon"
Issue 16 - "Kickin' It Old School" +
Issue 17 - "The Time Bender Trilogy: Part 1"
Issue 18 - "The Time Bender Trilogy: Part 2"
Issue 19 - "The Time Bender Trilogy: Part 3"
Issue 20 - "Bender Breaks Out"
Issue 21 - "More Than A Filling!"
Issue 22 - "A Fit Worse Than Death"
Issue 23 - "The A-Team"
Issue 24 - "Twice Told Tales Of Interest"

Futurama/Simpsons Infinitely Secret Crossover Crisis: Issue 1 (of 2) - "Somewhere Over The Brain-bow!"
Futurama/Simpsons Infinitely Secret Crossover Crisis: Issue 2 (of 2) - "Liquid Diamond Is Forever!"
Simpsons/Futurama Crossover Crisis II: Issue 1 (of 2) - "Slaves Of New New York!"
Simpsons/Futurama Crossover Crisis II: Issue 2 (of 2) - "The Read Menace!"

Publishing system for the UK comics

Issue 18 - "Six Characters In Search Of A Story" (Part 1)
Issue 19 - "Six Characters In Search Of A Story" (Part 2)
Issue 20 - "Fry Me To The Moon" (Part 1)
Issue 21 - "Fry Me To The Moon" (Part 2)
Issue 22 - "Kickin' It Old School" (Part 1)
Issue 23 - "Kickin' It Old School" (Part 2)
Issue 24 - "The Time Bender Trilogy: Part 1a"
Issue 25 - "The Time Bender Trilogy: Part 1b"
Issue 26 - "The Time Bender Trilogy: Part 2a"
Issue 27 - "The Time Bender Trilogy: Part 2b"
Issue 28 - "The Time Bender Trilogy: Part 3a"
Issue 29 - "The Time Bender Trilogy: Part 3b"
Issue 30 - "Bender Breaks Out"+++
Issue 31 - "More Than A Filling!" (Part 1)
Issue 32 - "More Than A Filling!" (Part 2)

+ Futurama Comics UK went monthly at this point - stories are being split into 2 magazines now in order to avoid "catching" up with the US comics too quickly.
++ Part 1 was published as Simpsons Comics #103.
+++ Due to the storyline of Issue 30, it was published intact rather than split over two issues. This is because the comic has to be whole for it to make any kind of sense. The comics reverted to 2 parters after Issue 30.

Issue #25 was released on May 24 here in the US.  And yes, it is good.  Poor Zoidberg! (egad, I've said too much!).

I have to say it - they do seem to be becoming increasingly far fetched.
But it was fun all the same - I bought it today - and enjoyed it   :)

I just got the comic off eBay. I liked it, only thing that annoyed me was the full page ads spread throughout it, but at least these ones weren't as bad as the ads in the previous few comics.

The comic hasn't come to my bookstore yet.  The clerk told me there's been a delay due to the holiday.

Hopefully, it will come next week.  If not, I'll check on EBAY.

I didn't really like this one. It was okay but nowhere near as good as ones like #24 and #23 etc. It was a bit wierd.

I finally got my cop of issue #25!  It was cool for a Robin Hood story.  I liked how Zoidberg kept singing, and how Bender became Robin Hood and forced Leela and Fry to do his bidding.  The only thing I didn't like was Fry getting fat, that made no sense to me.   Other than that it was a really cool comic book.  Looking forward to issue #26!

Got this one today.  I think I'll start making a habit out of getting the Futurama comics.

Yes, quite out there as far as Futurama plots go, and a bit predictable, but with enough good jokes to make up for that.  If no one hears from me for a while, it's because I died of a pun-attack reading the first half of this issue.

"Bender, you can drive my cargo ship!  We'll take these bugs on a long and winding road across the universe to an octopus's garden in...um...Funkytown."

Douglas Adams is laughing his ass off in his grave.

Anyone notice the comics lately haven't published any fan-art or fan-mail?  What's that all about?

On an unrelated note, this comic made a story about Fry getting fat, and I wrote a fanfic where Fry is extremely scrawny.

Yeah, I was wondering what happened to the fan mail as well. It's probably because they used up all the space by putting in those crappy ads.
