These giclees look nice to collect...until I look at the price: $450 ($675 framed).  Does anyone get these?

I would LOVE to own a giclee. But I think they're almost entirely sold out. And the price is rather steep, but worth it.

It's be nice if they converted some more giclees into posters like they did with the 'space pilot 3000' one. But I can't see that happening  :(.

Well at least that is official looking. Better than paying $500 for a David Levinthal photograph of the toys. I could do that myself.

I like the art they produce for Futurama.  The 12 set giclee set they did of the 2001 calendar is outstanding and I have all the prints to that.
This one though, leaves me a bit cold particularly at such a high price tag.  The image used is a stock image from one of the calendars again but this is a bit different than the typical giclee prints that have been done in the past in that this is more like an animation cel as the characters are painted on a piece of clear acetate.  Pretty cool, but again, a stock image at this price?  Even this is a bit of a stretch for me to want to purchase.
When this came out there was also two versions of it - 1 signed and numbered by Groening and another set not numbered and not signed.  I complained a bit to the powers that be on this regarding the high price and the use of stock images but they said these decisions are made by Fox and not them.  Needless to say this has been the last piece of 'fine' art produced for Futuram in the last few years.
I do not mind them reusing images for artwork just bring the price more in line with what collectors want. I have been advocating for some time now the need to do the 4 covers to the Futurama Simpsons crossover in some type of fine art print but again, release it at a fair price point so more people can enjoy and have them.
