Yeah. My friend and I went to the mall today, and to fulfill our band tee needs we went to Hot Topic and we found Futurama magnets. So, I think that they'd have some more stuff in the future, hopefully.   :D

Really? I went in there for new earrings (They have the best accesories in my opinion) the other day, and didn't see anything. Just Family Guy stuff. What did they say?

They were just the characters and they came in a set. ( I live in MA, and the one near me is at the Holyoke mall, so.. yeah.)the one near me had them near some South Park and Family Guy stuff on a wall.

I have not been into Hot Topic more then once, and I don't really plan to go anytime soon. But if they start having Futurama shirts and stuff, then I'll go. But just for a couple of minutes.

^I've never been there. But I'll also go if they start selling 'Futurama' stuff. (And if there's one nearby.)

I think she just got lucky. Hot Topic isn't really a Futurama kind of place. It was probably an one time thing. Unfortunatly.

I've never heard off Hot Topic but I wanna go!

By the way I went to a place called 'the comic book shoppe' and found that Slurm Can with the playing cards inside (#1 on my most wanted useless Futurama merchandise list). I picked that up along with some Futurama comics. Sorry if I'm going off-topic.

No fluke, it seems ...  http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&ITEM=444904

Alas, it's the only item there.  I could use more shirts too.

I drop in Hot Topic from time to time to see if they've started to stock Futurama stuff (namely, shirts), to no avail.  They seem to have a fair abundance of Family Guy shirts, though, which seems less their type of product than Futurama stuff does.  Maybe I'll have to drop in again sometime soon.

I seem to recall checking their website before, and yeilding no 'Futurama' search results, so this is good news, I guess.  Let's hope for an upward trend, shall we?

The South Park products at Hot Topic are cool, as well as the rock band shirts.  I looked up on the website for Futurama products and I found the magents.  Now, if only Hot Topic would sell Futurama action figures and t-shirts as well.  For right now Family Guy is the main attraction, nothing we can do about that.

My sister likes the store and she likes to buy those 'Emily Strange' and 'Lenore the cute little dead girl' shirts.

Like I said earlier, I usually go in there for thier accessories. I like to change my shoelaces alot  :p Anyways, that's pretty neat. If they do have shirts, that'd be awesome. Better than having to buy cheap imitation shirts off eBay. Though the ones Venus found earlier were pretty nifty.

It's nice to see that they're selling some Futurama stuff, but I wouldn't get too excited about seeing new merchandise.  Hot Topic probably just got ahold of some Futurama backstock from somewhere.  If there were going to be new Futurama shirts (which I would dearly love) it would have happened already as a tie in when Adult Swim syndicated the series.  Adult Swim spent all that money on the series, it would have made sense for them to push merchandise when they started airing the show more than a year ago.  Unfortunately, for whatever reason (some licensing issue I'd gather) they haven't put out any new Futurama merchandise.  They sell Family Guy T-shirts in the Adult Swim shop, but no Futurama.  The only Futurama things I see for sale there are animation cells.  I wish they'd put out some new stuff for sale, but I think it would have happened by now.

Finally, at least Hot Topic has something Futurama related. I've been searching for months for Futurama stuff, and at least they now have something. Hope they'll make some shirts.

Believe it or not, there's American Dad t-shirts out.  There's one of Roger and one of Klaus!  If only there would be more Futurama products such as: t-shirts, shoelaces, and even windshield wipers.

I would kill myself if they started selling Futurama stuff. That store and the majority of people who shop there disgust me. Do you really want a bunch of brain-dead emo kids wearing Futurama shirts going, "Dude! Zoidberg's stupid-funny. What? It's cancelled? Woah."? I do not. Hot Topic does such a shitty job with t-shirts anyway. They're always almost-good shirts. If it has a good graphic it says something stupid on it. If it's, by some miracle, a good design they ruin it by giving it that ugly worn out abercrombie look. Having to make our own Futurama gear is a small price to pay when the alternative is over-merchandising and non-fans wearing it. Are we nerds or consumers first?

I dislike the store for what it is, but the products (especially pants) are awesome.  But alas, there are none in walking distance, so I'm never at one.  And I agree with KAH, I don't want Futurama to become AC/DC.  *shudders*  Or even Family Guy.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger.  Hot Topic just sells the stuff, they don't make it.  If you don't like it there, don't shop there; personally, the people there are "too freaky", though every once in a long while, I will step in for that something they carry that no other place does.

I noted the issue regarding the lack of shirts a few days ago here ...
 http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/15-000681-1/#t6

As it is, though, I'm sorta glad that there aren't any new shirts.  Makes the old ones exclusive and more valuable.

I don't hate it because it's the cool thing to do. I hate it because most of the stuff there sucks. And while they don't make the clothes they sell there they do order it from the companies that do and they could be buying better stuff. Also I dont shop there. I just end up wandering in on the rare occasion I'm in the mall hoping to not be disappointed. It rarely happens. I'm not trying to offend anyone that shops there. I just dont want Futurama merchandise to be mass produced.

I'd much rather have new shirts than worry about protecting the "value" of your T-shirt collection.  Luckily for you I guess is the fact that no company wants to bother with making them.

Some us us (like me) lack the ability of t-shirt production. I'm not artistic enough to come up with a graphic worth looking at and i have no sewing ability so i couldn't alter a shirt i was somehow able to find. I buy my DIY from ebay.

If they do start selling some Futurama stuff, it could create new fans. The letter-writing and petition signing scheme worked for Family Guy, so maybe a few more numbers and a little more spotlight could revive Futurama. I myself have stepped in the store only once. (I know, this post is beyond old, but I found it on google)

Every time I go to hot topic, I get madder and madder because the family guy stuff keeps rising as simpsons and south park stuff keep diminishing, and I've never seen any futurama stuff at my hot topic.  I like family guy, but not as much as simpsons, south park, or futurama

I like Hot Topic and I buy a lot of shirts and stuff there (eBay too). I find nothing wrong with the Simpson/Family Guy shirts. And why is everyone making a big deal about Futurama shirts that don't even exist? I wouldn't mind buying them. It'd be cool in my opinion.

I found only black and white Simpsons shirts there, I did buy it, but I'm not in love with th colors. Most Simpsons shirts in my size, or that are school acceptable are black x.0 They really could get a load of people sucked into the wonderful vortex of Futurama if they spent money to make money, but that's FOX for ya.

No, Fox would have to (or would have to be the one to liscense it out, anyway).  Remember, AS doesn't own the show or the characters; they just have the cable rerun rights, which doesn't inheritely allow them any kind of merchandising rights.

Just to say, as a Scotsman who visited the USA this summer and finally got to visit Hot Topic, they sell some cool shirts. I picked up 2 Invader Zim shirts while I was there, and the IZ ones they stock are cool and very much in keeping with the show's feel. If someone did the same with Futurama I'd snap the shirts up right away, even if it meant ordering them from the US.
