A Mary-Sue (or Gary Stu) isn't always neccessarily an author insertion. Any character that is too perfect beyond words and can seem to do no wrong, usually being a romantic interest as well, is a Mary-Sue. It's always been my view that a perfect character isn't. Everybody has weaknesses, even the best of us. And fan-made characters should have them too.

In case anyone's interested why my re-write's taking so long is that one of my initial characters I think can safely be said is a Gary Stu.  hmpf

Awwwww. I hope the re-write doesn't take too much longer. I really want to read this. Your betas seem to think it's the best fic they've ever read.

Well I've nearly finished the first act, which is by far the most meaty - after that, a lot of the next two acts are getting trimmed.  smile

Just how long is this thing?
Zed 85

Well the initial one was 194,138 words long, or nearly 2 million, whichever you want, and also 368 A4 pages long. My betas were sort of split on the issue - most suggested trimming of some degree, some more than others. I've decided not to cut out huge chunks, just re-tell the story, which will require me re-writing it from scratch. Already I've missed out on a few parts of the story, skipping them over with brief explanations or discriptions (ones that still work of course). And then I may go add a few more lines to another scene, and it's only just gone under the word count of the original so far  tongue
It'll still need to be beta'ed again, just to make sure I haven't been a complete pillock, but hopefully that stage will be completed in the next few months. And then, onto the next one, which I already started a bit of, and am very confident about already.  smile

Wait a minute...194,138 is not almost 2 million, or did I misunderstand something?

Jennifer Garner, cool. Again Fryfan, been there read that, was really there looking for something of mine. Nicely done as always, extra points for using Jennifer Garner. And for anyone else, call me a homo anyway, I'm trying to become a hippie.

Hopefully, hopefully, by tomorrow, Teral will put up my new fan fic. And I know I said it was a drama and it wasn't gory, guess what?

I LIED!

There actually will be some violence. But I still think it'll be different fromt my previous fics. And once I'm done with this one, back to my sequels!

Episode 3 of Season A (With yet another brilliantly imaginative title...) is available on TLZ here

As for Episode 4, I can reveal it is going to be predominantly set in my home town.

So, I was looking at my finished script when I realized it was more than 70 pages long (movie script format).  As soon as I figure out how to break it up into digestible chunklets I'll post it.  Aside from sucking, improper divisions were one of the major flaws of the first one.

Currently I am working on two fanfics, "The Road to Fanzipar" and one that's a surprise!  I'm working on the surprise one first, and maybe later this year, I'll write the Fanzipar one, and Cult 55.

All I can reveal about the surprise one is it's kind of a 'shipper-fic' between Fry and Leela!

Then, I'd like to thank him for putting my newest fic, "Single, Uptight Female", up at TLZ.

And here it is...

Hope you guys like it.

I've been skiing in Norway for the last 10 days, and only got back today. I'll get right back into the game but it might be a few more days before you'll see it on TLZ.

Fine fine. I figured you were somewhere away from the computer. I find it ironic that both times I've complained about this that you instantly pop up. Damn timing. Anyway, glad you're back, I'll be waiting.

So, yeah...I'm in the process of posting my latest fic on PEEL.  Aside from having more spelling errors than I could shake a sizeable shaking stick at, it seems to be doing better than my first fic.

Take a gander, if you like.  I always love receiving critiques.

That's funny, weren't you one of the people who said you didn't like Kim Possible?  I'm really asking, because I remember a lot of people saying that here.  If that's the case than I feel I'm succeeding what I set out to do with my fanfic.

Just because we hate the show that your fic is based on doesn't mean you haven't made it a good one.

The fact that people who don't like Kim Possible are reading my fanfic that features Kim Possible and say they like it, says something.  It may not be much, but it's something.

I actually did like that Kim Possible crossover story.  I like any story that involves a crossover, I even like fanfics that crossover with The Simpsons!  I'm not a fan of the show, however.

Speaking of fanfics, my surprise one 'Up the Down Potion' is up the The Leela Zone aka Futurama Madhouse.  Feel free to read it, and let me know what you think.  I'm open to comments, questions, and criticisms as well.  Hope you will like it.

Seeing as I haven't left my stupid sarcasm, I'm here to do that.

1) Why wasn't I surprised that you were going to have a Kim/Ron love affair thing?

2) Interestingly amussing as always.

Why do I always have to be the one to say something? Also, feedback please! I'd be obliged if I were to get feedback on Stung.

I like your fanfic.  It is a touchy subject though.  Fry dead and Leela thinking about erasing him from her memory.  I feel a little sad, I hope things turn out for the better in part 2.

2 Spacedal11, KurtPikachu2001 and anybody else.

I have the sixth and final part of my SpyOrama/Kim Possible Crossover Crisis available at TLZ.  Secrets will be revealed.  "I must say this opens my eyes! Another case closed my dear Watson. For I was blind but now I see! The cat's out of the bag now!"  Something happens in this story that has never happened in any of my previous SpyOramas.

Hope you enjoy and please review.

Cool! I was mentioned in the "thanks". You're welcome Fryfan.

Also, yes part 2 of "Stung" blew in a sense that I write these stories at 2 in the morning and are too tired to edit it. I'll fix it. And any recommendations except "delete this shit" I'll accept.

You post without editing? Aren't you worried people will think you're a sloppy writer? I can't even tell you how many times i go back over everything i write. Plus i have betas! Why not just wait and edit it in the morning if you're too tired to do it at night?
