`cause nobody criticizes, i`ll do it, `cause only posts like "cool", or "very nice job" are boring, when there is no negative posts      wink

great work, but on b/w ascii it doesn`t seems good enouht - fragmentary clothes is not good for b/w ascii`s.
the original scan: http://www.aboutleela.ru/scanart/pawell/amy_after_fight2zoidberg.jpg
but job is great at all! unfortunately there are some things, you can`t transfer via b/w.      frown

i can`t make ascii`s, so maby you`ll try to "colour" this nice ascii picture?      wink

What I like about Y_L_B's ascii is that she simulates color. Different shades of b/w y' know.

I have to agree with Guineapig Trick.

ASCII / plain-text itself isn't colored and the bigger achievement is to express the colors and shades through different characters.

I've seen their's, ooy. I'm trying to color it right now, and somehow, it's not looking as good.    hmpf I, myself, prefer the b/w, but Pawell thinks this'll look better in color, so... there ya go!   big grin

What I find about color ASCII stuff, is that you can type whatever you like, then add in the color. Somehow, it feels like cheating... I don't know why.

I'm literally angry with rage!

I know why it feels like cheating. Because it is  big grin

I think the style of ASCII art you made until now (expressing colors through different characters) is by far better than cheating with colors.  wink

only that one i said will be better coloured, but others are really great the way they are!  big grin
i just suggested to try update that picture to color one... so we`ll se wich is better  wink maby i`m wrong  smile

2 all

that`s just too boring to read only posts like "great work!" "make more like this"... someone needs to find negative to fix it and make Y_L_B`s ascii`s perfect!  smile

I agree on your 2 all point Pawell.

It is much better to show some points that could be done better and to give the artist some tips, than just to congratulate on the fantastic work.

But in Y_L_B's case I don't have anything to criticize. I think the pictures are perfect the way she does them.

Thank you!    big grin

That one took A LOT of time...

It's my biggest one yet, and it took a few weeks.     smile

And for old time's sake, here's the first ASCII-art I posted on PEEL, based on a scan TLL made, which was based on a drawing I made:

I love the 90's!

EDIT: I see more and more people are noticing the URLs! I've been trying to make them "with easter eggs" if you will, like the one with Amy and Leela wrestling was called "fapfapfap.txt" If you don't believe me, go check!

Yay! I think I don't have much critisism is because there aren't many other ASCII artists on PEEL.   hmpf Also, I'm not normally one to toot my own horn, but they are pretty neat.   big grin

Here's one that I've had for a while, but it looks a bit weird:

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, I'm writing a fan-fic with Young_And_Angry, and it's eating up all of my time. No new ASCII stuff for a while, but I found my very first sketch of Leela, dated August 10, 2001, yesterday, and I thought maybe it would be interesting to see. Maybe not. Anyway, here ya go:

My first Leela drawing:

Wow! It's been a while!  big grin

But I'm still alive, and I resumed making ASCII stuff a while ago. So, without further ado, my first ASCII art since August:

A little something for the Amy lovers!

(This one was designed to look best at font size four, but Angelfire enlarged it.)
