Wow, I haven't posted new art for a while. Heaven forefend that my thread slip onto the dreaded page 3! Anyhoo, here's my take on those animated TOTPD GIF's.

Feel free to use it any time you want to have a bit more of a snazzy TOTPD.

Well, now that you mention it, I do have the news that I'm officially 1/3 of the way done with the project. That means that it has sound, lipsync, animation, etc. Today I'm going to start rendering it on various friends' computers. So anyway, as soon as Grim sends me his voiceovers (Which he said he'd do two weeks ago), I can start part two.

I know this sounds like an excuse, but just before xmas I went to record it, did my warm ups and everything and my entire recording system (that is my Audigy2 Pro) died in the arse. I only had the cash to replace it with an Audigy 2 NX and my mic seems to create feedback with it, so I all my results are coming out scratchy. I have tomorrow off of work, I'll see what I can do about it.

Either way. It would be cool if Grim could do it, because I really like his Robot Devil. I can give him a few more weeks until I'll absolutely need it. But after that, I'm sure that you can do a decent stand in.

i really dont think they are that good. i mean the rendering is all wrong, and in general it looks liek very little time was spent in teh creation of this fan"art"

i am of teh opinion that this person could have done a much much better job making the pictures that he did.

with all sincerity,
kim

It's the best 3D Futurama art I've ever seen, and it sure impresses me a lot. Point us somewhere with better Futurama, or better yet, show us some of yours.

Show us some of your art, and prove to us you can do better. Failing, right? Thought so.

Anyway, is it just me, or are the pictures on page 1 not showing up? 2, 3, and 4 work properly, but 1 is giving me the box with the file icon in it.

It's coming together. And another is planned afterwards, though it will not involve the Futurama characters. It is, however, set in the Futurama universe/time. Hope you don't mind me telling them that, Hobo.

Nah, no problem. Just so everyone knows, I haven't really started making the spinoff yet. Gwan and I have just started drawing concepts and stuff.

Also, I'm pretty sure that TornYourDress is just on of my friends messing with my head. But thanks for standing up for me.

Wow, I just listened to the recordings. Not only are they spot-on, but Grim even improvised on a few of the lines! I wish I could show them to everyone on PEEL, but you'll have to wait for the finished product. Anyway, I'm squealing with joy now, mainly because now I can go on the finish the rest of the project. Awesome job!

Thanks everyone!

BIG- Looking back now, I should have, but instead I googled for "planet express. Some of the first few hits made for great top and side references.

M0le- I definately want the Leg Mutant voice, record that and send it to me right away.

Captain- Maybe when I have a lot of time on my hands. That would be quite an undertaking.

Hey hobojobo. Love your 3d models, especially the one of zoidberg dancing. I heard you mention a futurama film your working on at the moment. Can anyone tell me what the storyline is going to be or link me to a post with it in it.

Thanks Guys.

Hi there Hobojobo, my computer's been really playing me up recently so it's not been letting me send you the rest! Just letting you know that I've not forgotten, I'm trying to find a way of getting part 3 and the extra bits for part 1 to you...
I think I've got the bloody thing fixed so fingers crossed...

Awesome! You'll be the last one to send me the lines. I started part two of three on the episode last week, just to keep you informed. I think that this section will be easier to animate than the rest.

I'd like to know what inspired the use of 3Dsmax, I've been looking at learning 3D animation for a project of mine and it seems to me that Maya is a far superior solution
