I've enjoyed looking through the neato fan art (everyone's so talented!), so I've decided to post some of my own. Warning: Sketchy lines and rambling descriptions ahead. Here goes...

I hope I'm linking these right. Let me know if those damned red Xs are all you see.

I hadn't drawn Futurama characters in about two years when I just recently took another bash at it - this is what that first bash yielded:

That's my chair he's sleeping in. It's huge.

This one, titled "Good Morning, Starshine", was done about a week ago:

Leela waking up to greet the...one-eyed sea-green alien bird. It's gonna be a good day. (I don't know what the Pac-Man plant is all about.)

This one was drawn over the span of about three days, colored yesterday. I call it "Next To You" for no other reason than I was listening to Rose Royce's "I Wanna Get Next To You" while I colored it:

Waaaaaay too cuddly.

So...what say you, art critics of PEEL? "Decent enough"? "Don't quit your day job"? "The eyes, they burn!"? Go ahead, I can take it. Other stuff can be found at  http://spacejockey.deviantart.com  - it's new, but I'm always drawing.

That's cool. Spot on and nice colors.

Cool sketchy lines to, looks kinda "half cell-shaded".

I would like to see more.

(Just my oppinion) I think you should color the first one too. All the rest are and it might look pretty cool. Also, I like that last one best.

Those are some mighty pics there, I especially like the second one.   
Funnily enough...

I could warn though, there's this guy called Teral. He may say something about that ponytail in the third pic being a bit too short (he's always going on about that kind of stuff) but that's just him.

- So Fry is sitting in your chair? In that case, you have agood taste in chairs! 
- Also you have a great taste in music.  For no reason I was just about to post a few lines of "Good Morning, Starshine" around here, but the posting error deleted it.

Anyway, did you have a look at the "Drawing Art Contest" already? You really should ...

That's so pretty! I love the colors, and Fry looks exactly Groening, especially in that last picture.. A very pretty, clean style.. I hope to see more soon.

Wow, good stuff. I really like the poses and the colouring, you must have some good markers. The little cyclops bird is a nice touch

Thanks so much for the kind comments, everybody!

I actually use a variety of color pencils (Prismacolor, Prang, etc.) - sometimes I use markers, but not often. I find it easier to blend and my coloring (which needs all the help it can get) comes out much smoother with pencils.

Who, Aleel? I remember she always used to tease me whenever I mentioned I used to live very near her town. I really miss her now.

"That's just him" as in "he's the only PEELer insane enough to obsess over such things" or as in "he's just seeing things that's not really there"? ... Wait a minute, don't answer that! Neither option is flattering.

Well, it's nice to be infamous, and you don't mess with the ponytail! 

Great pictures, Alee. I like the second one best, but the other two are great too. The third one is just too cute, Fry is spot on and Leela looks good as well (except the ponytail could be a tad longer (there I said it :runs: )).

Don't confuse not caring with not knowing!

I did realize that her ponytail came out a bit short, but by that time I had already colored the entire picture. I'm too impatient to re-color so, eh, short it is. Thank you for the compliments and the criticisms.

bish, I use Prismacolor pencils and then touch up the image in this sort of pseudo-Photoshop thing I have.

It's not indicative of anything in particular, just a little sketch of a melancholy Fry.

The last picture in your first post got a loud, unbidden "AWWWW!" from me. It was very cute. Your drawing style is very cute. I love the colored pictures. Also, your last picture is sad  but very good. Yay! New thread to check!
