I'm going to have to remodel it because my "manager" doesn't like me working on personal stuff while at work. Even though I sat there for 6 hours watching balls render. I'll just redo cuz the dork deleted it.

I was thinking "Wouldn't it be great if there was a thread soley for 3d fan art?" and lo and behold, I did a search and found one.  I thought I'd resurrect the thread so the other 3d artists can all post their art in one thread and for the lazy people who would prefer them all together instead of hunting them all down.     :D  Here's my contribution:

Hey, that's really great 3D stuff, BIG, how long did it take you to do those?

I've made loads of 3d stuff... Zoidberg, Bender, the Robot Devil, Roberto, the Hobo Robot, the PE building, some other non-Futurama related stuff. I'd link you to my thread, but I think that everyone here has seen it.

Technically it probably took a couple months to model him, when I had no idea what I was doing.  I did up a crappier version to start with, got rid of that and worked on this one here once I went through some more tutorials and such.

Simply beautiful job, madame Biggie! Very true to the show!

Is there anything you can't do? The crocetting, the drawings... I have very little patience when it comes to this sort of thing... I do ASCII-art because it's straight-forward. If I press a button, it won't just disappear forever, and it's easy to modify and change. I tried 3D art once, failed miserably, and never tried it again. [/tangent]

So...ehh... Yes. Awesome job.

Great 3D Work BiG, hopefully without sounding like a complete amateur here, what program(s) did you use to make those? And do you have enough free time to explain the basics to a willing-listener?  :D Maybe I would have something in return - but i doubt it :P

I use 3Ds MAX for the 3D rendering part and a bit of Photoshop for the Blair Witch parody.  If you have any questions in regards to 3d modeling, feel free to fire me off an email.  I am still a newbie when it comes to 3d stuff so I'm not sure exaclty how much of a help I'll be.  I basically know enough to fumble around a bit and make rather simplistic objects/characters.  There's so much more I want to learn, I just wish there were more hours in the day to do so.   :D
