Eh, seems like everyone and their cousin has an art thread, so why not old newhook_1?

Bender is winking and wearing his chef hat. I wasn't orginally going to have the hat in there, but the top of Bender's head is just a pain in the ass to draw.


I hate this one, I screwed up Roberto's hand and fingers bad. By the time I noticed, it was too late to fix it.


I love this line, and I'm semi-pleased with the way Zoidberg's face came out. One of Zoidberg's arms is missing and he's not fat enough; That's because I did it in about five minutes.


I'll have some hand drawn ones up when I get my scanner back online (If it ever starts working again). Anyways, like them? Hate them? Have a death threat? Let me know!

I like it. The Zoidberg pic looks cool, I like the bigheaded style. Whether you did that on purpose or not I don't know but it's still good. The Bender pic is good too, but his pupil looks small. I especially like the Roberto one, because he's my favorite character and I like the scene. It reminds me of Aqua Teen Hunger Force (that's a good thing).

I'll have more stuff here as soon as I get a new scanner, but that could take anywhere from 2 weeks to a month.

I like this one. Though I did mess up his arms almost as bad as the last time:


This one was done in under 5 minutes to try out the Oekaki Board. The Roberto one is there too, everyone should go try the board out.

Here's one I did really quick to test out the new scanner (w00t!!). I'm still having trouble with Zoidberg's body, but I think I've pretty much got his head down pat.

I'll probably have more done later tonight.

*Edit* Yes I his arm is in the same position as last time. Bite me.

I like it. To be honest, Zoidberg looks a little lacking in the way of shoulders, but no big deal. Nice picture.

Thanks. As I said I'm still having some trouble getting his body down pat, so that would explain the shoulders. My usual style of drawing couldn't be more different than Matt G.'s (that, plus I'm not all that great an artist), so I'm having a hard time adapting to it (The Human characters are just death for me).

Edit: I also like the carefull consideration Roberto is taking on picking a knife in the first post.

This is the first chapter of "Roberto Strikes Back!". It's not too long, because its main purpose is to set up the story.

     One day, Fry, Bender and Amy were sitting on the couch watching TV at Planet Express HQ. As Bender was flipping through the channels, Hermes walked through the door next to them holding several envelopes and packages. "Mail call people!", He called cheerfully. "Amy here's a letter for you!" He said handing a letter to Amy.
   "Oh, it's from that anonymous pen pal agency I signed up for! Someone must have seen my add and sent me a letter!" She opened the letter and began to read aloud:

"Dear pen pal,
How our you? I am fine. Respond or I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!!!
- Anonymous Pen Pal"
   
   "Oh," Said Hermes after she had finished, "There's also a package here for you Fry!"
   Fry took the package, opened it, and took out a pair of swim trunks. "Hey! It's the Steve Buscemi swimming trunks I bought off eBay!"
   Amy eyed the trunks, "They really put his face on everything when he started his second term as president."
   "I can't wait to try them out." Exclaimed Fry cheerfully. "Do they still have pools in the future?"
   "Sure!" Replied Amy, "In fact, I won two free pool passes in a radio contest yesterday. I can take you along with me if you want." She reached into her front pocket, but her hand came out empty. "Hey!" Said Amy with a frown, "They're gone!"
   Bender folded his arms a scoffed. "Typical human. Don't worry Fry, at least you have one friend you can depend on." He reached into his chest cavity and pulled out two pool passes, "I'll take you to the pool with these two free passes I didn't steal."


   It was only a short walk from the Plant Express building to the local swimming pool, and it only took a moment for Fry to change into his trunks and Bender to rust proof himself. Once they were in the pool area, Bender lit a cigar. The lifeguard seemed to have an objection to this and walked up to Bender. "Sorry sir." He said, "No smoking in the pool area."
   Bender frowned, "Oh yeah, who's gonna stop me?"
The lifeguard pointed and a 20 foot tall robot standing behind Bender with a 'No Smoking' sign on his chest. "Oh, hello sir," Bender said nervously to the robot while handing the cigar to the life guard. "I was just giving my cigar to my good friend the lifeguard here."
   After the robot had left and the lifeguard turned to walk away, Bender picked up a pool weight that was next to his foot, threw it at the lifeguard, and hit him in the back of the head. "Ow!" Exclaimed the lifeguard, while rubbing the back of his head and frowning at Bender.
   "He did it!"  Said Bender pointing at a small child standing nearby.
   The life guard said something into a walkie talky and 5 security guards came out of nowhere and tackled the child.
   After that incident was over, Fry dove into the pool they where standing next to. "Wow, the pool water tastes really different then in my day." Fry said when he came up for air.
   "Na." Said Bender pointing in the direction of another pool 10 feet away from the one Fry was in. "Swimming pool's over there. You're in the spawning pool."
   "Uh, I think I'm ready to go home now" Said Fry, looking in terror at two squid-like aliens making out in the pool right next to him.

   Bender and Fry were just finishing up in the change room. Fry was about to put his jacket on when Bender noticed a scar on Fry's upper arm. "Hey, Fry!" He said, "Where'd you get that trendy scar you're sporting?"
   "I got that when I saved you guys from Roberto!" Replied Fry.
   Bender just stared blankly at him.
   "You don't remember that crazed knife wielding robot who tried to kill us?" Asked Fry.
    Bender continued to stared blankly.
   "It was right after we got put in that robot asylum." Fry said trying to jog Bender's memory.
   "Oh right!" Replied Bender, "That whole week is a bit of a blur. What with the heavy medication they put me on in the asylum and all."
   "Anyways," Fry continued thoughtfully, "I wonder whatever happened to that lunatic ...."

awesome! some of the jokes like the spawning  pool and bender stealing the pool passes seemed like jokes that would appear in futurama. please continue it, as it is great so far.
