First try at Futurama fanart

I don't think they are half bad for a first try, really.

This one is just Bender smoking a cigar... I have a photocopy of it on my dorm room door with a dry erase speech bubble where I put something different every week or so.



This one I just drew today, I like the lineart but the coloring is not very good because of limited marker selection (hence why Bender is sort of purple.) Fry also looks awkward because I messed up inking his eyes, and I had to do his skin with colored pencil as I had no marker even remotely close to skin color.



I really have no idea what prompted me to draw that, but... yeah.

Any critiscm is welcome. I still have a great deal of trouble drawing Fry.

That's excellent!

I actually have no trouble with Fry because I mastered him first. Looks like everyone else has it easier with drawing Bender, though... HOW DO YOU DO IT!?

The Bender one's awesome! Although his head can't bend that way..

Bender is pretty easy for me to draw. He's also my favorite character. I don't know how everyone else can draw the humans, though... it's difficult for me.

Bender's body is a bit skinnier than it should be and his head can't tilt that way, but that's very impressive for a first try. Second one is also great, Bender's expression as Raoul is dead on.

The first has benders body too small. Else wise the coloring is finely hatched, and the kight shading connects well with the original cartoon style.
That second picture is the Best! Well, really Fry's mouth has a larger top lip. But that is a very cool picture for Fear and loathing and Futurama.

Great job! An awesome first try!  But on the first pic, I'll quote from the robot himself: 'Bender don't bend that way'. It stil looks really good though. I look forward to seeing more of your art!

Yeah, I didn't think he bent that way but I made his head tilted and wanted his body straight so I... uh... improvised 

Here are some doodles I did today while listening to an astoundingly tedious lecture on water rights in my American Southwest class. I tried Fry again; I think I did a little better, but he still looks very stiff and awkward. I think the problem is that I have trouble drawing in other people's styles, and I tend to draw humans most of the time in mine whereas I rarely draw robots so Bender is easier for me.

Also, I had no reference for Nibbler, so I forgot his nose and a number of other things.

Your Bender is perfect!
But your Fru needs a lil work(not that I could do n-e-better mind u)but try making Fry's eyes a lil bigger and make his hair stand out more.And the Nibbler needs more work too...but overall they were really good!
