(Bows) Thanks! The first two vids I did were done with a freeware proggie called Zwei-Stein (some European guys made it, but then never finished it) Fry me to the Moon was done with SonicFoundry's VideoFactory 2.0 hence the text effects, credits, and various transitions used. My Tenchi and other art can be found at JoyCrusher's Menagerie

Can I give that video a more permanent home on FSAC?

It was actually inspired by Blade II. The one with Fry all decked out in Leather holding a sword just thought I'd mention it. Don't remember adding that one myself, so guess I'll have to have words with the others, or maybe nobody realised which is probably the truth.

I just downloaded the WMV version, and it rocked! I love Ol' Blue Eyes, and combining this with Futurama is a stroke of genius. If someone did a tribute video to Futurama with "My Way" playing, it would be the rockiest thing ever. Not suggesting anything, just stating a fact. Great cutting between scenes as well, and great selection. Kudos on an allround awesome job. Once I have 2 hours to spare I'll get the MPG-version (now that my memberhip to AMV is finally validated (2 weeks waiting period?).

Can't explain the wait, except I believe it's being run off "the goodness of someones heart". That can always cause delays. Especially if all my rave reviews are causing a flood of applications! Not.... Thanks for the E-applause. Oh, and Teral.... Be careful what you wish for.... (gotta find some excuse to justify buying the software!) hehe EDIT: OK I started it last night. At this point I'm assembling "classic" scenes, well, as many as I have sources for. What kind of video did you have in mind? My take so far is leaning on/focused on the fact the series is over. Since the song is about someone whose looking back on their life, I'm thinking the video should be from the perspective of "looking back on the series life"

The welcome message said something about wanting to avoid leechers who just signed up to grab a couple of files, without actually interested in supporting the community. I think it's a wise attitude since the bill for bandwidth must be tremendous. I was merely a bit surprised it was 2 weeks, usually it's 4-5 days. Oh, and Teral.... Be careful what you wish for.... Yeah, that's pretty much my idea too. The way I hear the song, it's a person looking back. He didn't listen to naysayers or took crap from anyone. He did the things he wanted to do, the way he wanted to. As a result he can now look back on a succesful life with no regrets, secure in the knowledge he deserved it all and achieved it all on his own. After watching "Fry Me To The Moon", I started thinking about "My Way" (since it's Sinatra's trademark song) and how it accurately described Futurama and it's succesful (albeit short) life. Groening didn't listen to other people (FOX) and their stupid advice or people who said it couldn't be done. Now as we look back on Futurama, we see a popular (at least among animationfans) show, who achieved it all on it's own. Matt/David made the show like they wanted it to be (their way), after the success on CN and the DVD sales they know it was due to the quality of the show and not some mediahype/ad blitz. Well, I hope that was at least somewhat understandable. BTW, I downloaded the MPG-version: awesome to the max.
