i can't believe i am even contributing to this line of conversation, but in Leela's Homeworld we see that her natural hair color is purple which stands to reason that that is the natural hair tone for um, everywhere else.

Like you're too good to talk about this?

On a serious note, I think Leela's waist might be a bit too thin. That seems to be a common flaw in everyone's fanart.

that seems to be the norm for human males: A 1.6 to one ratio between waist and hips seems to be the most desireable. Something to do with a visual indication of health, possibility of producing offspring, and other such biologically related stuff.

@ Fem Jesse. Again you do not fail to please- er... sorry poor choice of words. Excellent work as per usuall.
Questions:
From the appearance of Leela's areola, she's cold (or something), but from the look of her skin, she's either been perspiring, or has put something on her skin to add a similar sheen.
Do live models put oil or some such on their skin while posing?
Just curious.

Thanks & keep that excellent artwork coming!

Nice work as usual, FemJesse.

@Spacecase: From my photographic experiences (don’t get the wrong idea, it’s all done in the best possible taste!), some models do use oil. It’s essential for ‘wet’ shots, otherwise the water doesn’t form into beads on the skin.

Don’t read any more if you’re easily offended: but it’s all done in the name of art, honest.

Yeah, those child bearing hips really do it for me. (No gag, I'm serious.)

Pretty much everything Farnsworth38 said, and I wanted her skin to be "Pretty and Shiny!"  Also, I don't know if I mentioned this anywhere, but I think pubic hair is disgusting... it gets stuck in my teeth... I mean...   red face
it looks bad...   big grin
Well there's nothing funnier than when we get these superhot skinny females to draw in figure drawing, with big fluffy bushes...   laff
I don't think its that I drew her too skinny but that I drew her too extended.  She doesn't look too leisurely stretched out like that... I'm just used to those damn 30 second gesture drawings that are overly "expressive" and squiggly.

Spice Weasel:  Dorito makes me think of cheese and orange.  Cheese and orange make me think of Fry.  Now that I have "pubic hair" and "Fry" in the same post, I can die happy.

On another note...
Here's my take on underwater Fry and Leela... done entirely on my stylus in photoshop for Barboza.

I just realized I subliminally gave Fry my toe deformity...  The middle toe is longer than the rest... its an inbred Irish thing... I forget the specific name for the deformity...
God that's funny though...

By hideous details, are you implicating the toe, or the three-eyed fish?

I like the effect, but for some reason Fry's right hand (our left one) looks alien, the way the fingers are or something...

Wow, great picture. Nice touch of putting Blinky in.  cool

Leela's left hand have the same irregularity as Fry's right one. Her pinkie loks like a thumb.

A lesson in how to get people to do what you want:

FemJesse: I like Fry under the water
FemJesse: he should stay there
FemJesse: With Umbriel.
FemJesse: I think I'll just draw Fry from now on
FemJesse: Fry Fry Fry Fry Fry
BigDog: come'on, can't you throw Leela into the mix (puppy dog eyes)?
FemJesse: I want my damn MP3s among other things
BigDog: well, I'm sorry, but I can not release those until Friday
FemJesse: Fry Fry Fry
FemJesse: Fry hugging Alternate Fry
FemJesse: In a pool or warm caramel
BigDog: want anything else?
FemJesse: Caramel
FemJesse: and hot dogs
FemJesse: and coffee
FemJesse: and warm milk
BigDog: hard customer to please
FemJesse: My demands are of a simple nature.

Nice. How long did it take you to make that pic with photoshop?

Also, your lesson teachs nothing new. What it boils down to, BigDog gives you MP3s, and in return you draw Leela.

Awesome new art, I don't think I've seen Blinky in a fan art before. I like Fry and Leela's body language, they really look as if they're actually underwater  smile

This is is Paul's Furcadia character, Blitzen Kaynine... who just happens to be a compilation of all the characters from Futurama... in doggy form.  For anyone interested, Furcadia is a Free graphic online massive multiplayer community that is free to download (Furcadia.com) and free to play.  Did I mention that its FREE?

Only the stuff at femjesse.deviantart.com is copyrighted, but you have my permission to print whatever's not for sale in my online store... which is a lot, the only things in the store are "Dinner at Elzar's" and "Fry at the Helm"  (Yeah that means you can print out "Kiss the bride" and stick it all over everything you own... =>.^=)
Later this year, you can all show your support for me by buying the children's book I'm doing the art for, when it is published and I release the details.  =P  The characters in the book will be (c) Howard Segal, so you WON'T be able to use the reproductions of them without his expressed consent... and neither will I =P  laff

That Blitzen pic a fantastic one BTW. I don't think there's any room for improvement. The shading is especially great, though I was about to say "Great Jeans" but then I thought "but also great Boots" and then "great RPG launcher thingy" then "Amy style hair" then "actual body hair" then "tanktop shading" then "cape" then everything else*
So basically everying about it is great!
