Okay, I know some people think may think I can't draw, but this is a different, er, style of art.  This is picture has been generated from scratch, and looking at a frame-grab.  All I ask is you please be nice   :)

Note: This is behind my internet connection, which has dynamic dns on it... So if you can't see the picture, it probably means my link has dropped, or your DNS server doesn't like dynamic dns. And I'm not affiliated with the "all my circuits" ftp, its just the subdomain I chose  :)

Thanks Bobby   :)

I just thought I'd mention this, because I've been asked this a few times in #fc: To draw this, I'm using The Gimp, which is an opensource Adobe Photoshop clone, and I'm drawing with my mouse.  I'm not doing any scanning, or using a pen mouse.  I've been told that most people do their fan art by scanning then using Macromedia Flash (or similar), but I can't really do that as I haven't yet found anything similar for Linux (I don't use windows).

Anyway, the second image in the series.  This is Fry, if you're having trouble recognizing it   ;)

Thanks Otis, I'm glad you like it   :)

I've now downloaded 'Sodipodi', which is supposed to be an Adobe Illustrator clone.

The is traced (in sodipodi from part of a framegrab of "The Birdbot of Ice-Catraz" (3ACV05).

And in colour (I just took a screenshot, and used the floodfill tool in The Gimp, so the anti-aliasing makes it look a bit ugly (which I hope to solve when I learn how to use sodipodi better):

Okay, some more art.  Travis tells me in #fc that the image looks like dog-turd (both my source and the picture I did.  My source is from, my, er, um, collection of Futurama episodes in RealMedia format.  Thus, the picture quality is horrible.  This is the original frame I traced it from, and the JPEG encoding hasn't taken very much out of it, this is how ugly it is in the RealMedia file!

And here is my art from that:

Thanks ShineFusion, but FemJesse is my idol for the arty stuff  :)

I have moved the place where the pictures are, so they're on a faster and permanent link.  All the other links are now broken... sorry.  New art site.

macromedia flash?? how could that be used for anything?  i'm curious as to why you decided to do this though, u're just drawing freehand with a mouse, is that the idea?
I've never used a pen or anything, just drawing overlays with my mouse, and my drawings "look like the things they're supposed to look like" </Homer>

Well, I did it with the mouse because I honestly wasn't sure how to do it, and I don't have anything working that will let me draw the pictures on paper then copy it into the computer.  Now I know how to do it with a tracing program, which makes life much easier  :)
