Getting a piggy-back ride by Leela? Fry, you lucky bastard!!!

*chokes on envy*

Great work, Jesse. Love the "Pleeeeease" one.

If all anime where like this, I'd probably start to like it.

Most of it is.  Or at least more adventurous than Pokémon and DBZ, which is what most people seem to think of when you say animé.

Ahh, the simple joys of a piggyback... wonderful work there, especially the colouring.  :)

Of course she's considering it, I'm a shipper at heart!  It comes out in these subtle ways.
Considered... And went through with, apparently...
In all my pictures I try to capture that awe and aspiration in their expressions.  The show leaves much to my imagination... when often characters go into a stasis that Groening seems to favor.  Its the "just standing there with no expression whatsoever" that gets to me.  I love it when a character's mouth is gaped open in the background, or they're rolling their eyes (or eye) and shaking their head.

That's why I need to depart and get into "angry" pics.  Its the whole other end of the spectrum.
I've already established that they really love each other.  This picture speaks for that quite well, and is my personal favorite "real life" drawing.

Thank you!  I have a great idea for a simple comic and I need some minor contributions from people who can take it semi-seriously.  Here's your chance to ask Leela whatever you want!

I just tripped over your work at TLZ yesterday and I have to say the "Real Life" Stuff is brilliant. As an avid non-drawer, It's nice to finaly see sombody with talent just go nuts like that. That first Leela one is now my wall paper. (My Girlfriend will be horrified I'm sure). One observation though is that all the women you draw always seem a little *cough* chilly. Not that there's a complaint or anything.
Thank you for sharing such great work with the Futurama comunity.

Yep, new art continues to impress. Like I said on TOFT before it got wiped I always admire someone who can draw Leela (and by extension, everyone else) realistically - since I can't  :p - and you're drawings are probably the best I've seen.  :D

Welcome to PEEL mazaite  :)

that comic was funny, the next one should ask questions about leela/fry relationship...or darker yet leela/amy....or darker still leela/farnsworth....or slightly lighter fry/amy

just handing out some ideas

Ok, until now I thought that visually at least, the idea of a "real" looking Leela would just come out stupid looking.

Then you came along....

Technology aside, it is possible to place a single eye on a relaistic face and have it look TOTALLY BELIEVABLE!

Great stuff, FemsJesse.  I like your "real life" drawings the most.  VERY well done.
In case you ever run out of ideas, a drawing I would really like to see is that of a teenage Leela playing the drums(I remember her saying that she used to play them in "Hell is Other Robots" ).
Or, how about a drawing of a jam session with Leela on drums, and Fry on holophoner?
