well i didn't realize UOM was gonna be as long and invovled as it was when i started reading it. Most fics aren't much longer than like 30 pages.

And no i don't like Fry having eyes for other women, but that didn't come up much in the series itself after the 2nd season

And of course i only read things that appeal to my personal taste. Who doesn't? i don't go to Barnes&Noble and buy books at random, i find ones that appeal to my personal taste. i don't know anyone who doesn't. And what do you mean "the least you could do is judge it on its merits"? I have. I've said before it's one of the best fics i've read. Even if there are some plot points i dislike, i still notice his technical writing ability and his ability to weave long complicated plots.

I agree, I noticed The Fry/Leela  episodes were a bit more frequent afterwards as well...

I gotta say that, yes, Gort, you did the right thing. Freedom of expression is very important to me, and while those fics sicken me personally, the author has the right to write whatever s/he wants.

I wanted to add my two cents about some of the fan fiction I've read through over at TLZ. First, Universe of Malice. I've read that beast through with increasing interest. I can't wait until the next chapter, although I'm more than willing to wait while it gets fleshed out. I guess the best way to express my appreciation of UOM is to admit that I'm a shipper. (That means I'm in favor of the Fry/Leela relationship, right? I just guessed the term's meaning from context but I don't want to advocate something I don't even know about.) However, I couldn't help but root for Alesia and Fry. I think that changing one of my strongly held beliefs in the Futurama universe is proof enough of the power of the story. And of course, any reference to a character in Secret of Monkey Island that was itself referencing Loom places the story on a higher level. 

Second, How It Ends. Great story that proves I'm a shipper. However, I found that to be excellently written with palpable emotion. As a result, I've started to read Delicious Surprise, which is also great so far.

Third, the Fry-borg. I really have enjoyed what has been released for that story. It's more, how shall I say, insane. Yet, in a good way. It has plot twists and ideas I would never have thought up.

All in all, reading great stuff like this makes me realize how much I can't write. But that's ok because, at least, there are great stories to read.

So, we have two new "Delicious surprise" parts. First one is good, altough less or more avarage - start of Leela as subsided person. Second one is finally with Munda (without flashback) and i don´t know - it was interesting but Munda´s motivation is still little weak... Seeing there will be just few new parts, i hope thee will be something about two Kif´s kids in them.

i have read all of 1bdi' s trilogy about 8 times each!!!! he/she got me into redin fanfic's so thx 1bdi. anyone know when the next installments are out im dyin to know????

Isn't 1BDI freakin awesome? 'The Fugitive' is my top fav fic. As for her updating 'Revival of Project A.L.B.I.A' it took her over a year to post chap 5, so it may be a while before we get any more. Im not really sure if she's gonna finish it at all. I really hope she does though.

My fav stories at TLZ are A Long Night, A Second Chance and No More Secrets. OMG I think I'm becoming a shipper!   
And, yes, this IS the same Mattybwoy that wrote the worst fan fic at TLZ. Laugh away.   

EDIT, AFTER READING A FEW PAGES OF THIS TOPIC:

Okay, I feel it right to apologise to anyone who was offended/disgusted by my fan fic, don't worry, I won't make any fic like that again. So.. yeah. I am writing a new one but it ain't gory or anything. Sorry about that. No wonder it's the worst fic.
Yes, Futurama is about comedy and not any of this violent sick stuff.

thx very much i will investigate these now! also a quick tip for any one who cares also a little tip for ppl hu cant stay on a computer to finish a fanfic. if u have a fone, mines a nokia 3510i, that can connect to internet and get on yahoo messaging, get a yahoo account. copy the story and paste the story as a email but save it as a draft. u can then access the saved email with the copied fan fic on it there from ur phone. i have read about 30 fanfics this way travelling.

"Delicious surprise" 24 is out, very good chapter. Altough that I certainly like it, I hoped for part with Dania and her brother be a bit more significant. I also don´t get what happened with other tadpoles, did they just die or did they go to other part of planet?
Anyway there is also new part of "The Other", very excellent piece of work, nothing much to say.

The final chap of Delicious Surprise is out. Good story, except for the unbelievably creepy prospect of a Liliah/Dwight relationship. Ewewewewewewewew!

Venus do you know 1BDI personally?  I'm of big fan of her work and she likes my SpyOrama.  I wish I could get her opinion of the end of my Jinx story that I wrote a while back.  She said she liked the idea, but she reviewed only up to chapter one and that was it.

Man, she seems like the only major fanfic writer that nobody knows.  Oh well, I hope she does finish.  Does anybody personally know who wrote Love Hurts at ff.net?  It is an Fry/Amy pairing, but in was never finished.  It hasn't been finished for almost a year.

when uve finshed i will read them then allen. i don't want to start readin any unfinished series as i don't like the waiting. the wait for A.L.B.I.A is killing me slowly. the only thing that could sooth that pain is thinking of horriblre thongs happening to fox executives
