Fry and Leela as Anakin and Padme sounds like an obvious choice. Should make the shippers happy too.

For me, Amy fits Padme and Leela, Leia perfectly. But not the other way round. Fry could play both Anikin and Luke though > sad thing is that Luke/Leia would not wash with shippers since they are of course siblings.
Meh, that's just my opinion.

Shippers are romance maniacs. They love mushy and warm stuff, and are hell-bendt on seeing Fry and Leela get together in the finale episode. They love episodes such as "Parasites Lost" and "Love & Rocket". Cool people.

I think the term have something to do with the word "relationship", but don't quote me on it.
