Nefnar and I are planning to create a Futurama TCG. We have a design for the cards already and maybe Nefnar will post one later. So, what do you think about the idea?

No, it's just like we put it on a website and there you can save it on your hard drive, print them and play . Much the way decipher.com does with the Lord Of The Rings TCG.

Yeah, that's one preliminary card. We will work on the color and the stars inside. The 4 you see means strenght and the 3 his life. 1 is the cost of the card. Exert means to take one life to use a weapon. Weapons will be like lasers and lightsabers and stuff like that. There will be power ups that most likely will be Slurm and Robot Oil. We will post the rules when we are a little more advanced. We will post the cards in a separate website so don't worry, we won't take much server's space.

There will be different colors represented by the cultures that are going to be spared by its origin or relationship with the others for example the blue is for planet express. Or maybe just purple for leela.

What my friend Nefnar put in the Leela card is wrong. What's the point of healing an enemy? Is better to wound an enemy and to heal Fry. Correct that Nefnar. And hi, viagraplease!

What do you mean to transport your PEEL? And why do you use a card from The Lord Of The Rings? Better wait until I give you some examples tomorrow.

Cool! I have a on-line card set for Spongebob. Even if you don't like the show, you may like 'em anyway: www.geocities.com/shadowstarnook/spongecoralcards.html
Anyway, that's a cool idea, Potter! I'll collect 'em.

That's better, Nefnar. Evil Alien is one of the cultures of the game. Other cultures are: Mom, Planet Express, Good Aliens, Spaceships, Good Allies and Baad Allies.

I had posted this in another thread but I was wondering about the gaming mechanics to your game. It sounds like you are making this a straight battle game where characters battle each other and all have special abilities. I wanted to make some suggestions if I could.
I think a good way to design the game would be something similar to Shadowrunner and Lord of the Rings (the first one and not Decipher's). What I mean is that since they are a delivery company why not make the purpose of the game making deliveries? During each players turn they make attempts at deliveries to various locations. The other players (this mechanic lends itself to being multiplayer) trying to hinder or help for a successful mission. Using resources and character abilities the player can counter other players moves for their own benefit. The player who makes the most deliviries (or makes the most money for Planet Express) is the winner.
Anyways, I just wanted to give some suggestions. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with. If nothing else the cards are always fun to look at.  :)

LOTR was originally made by a company called ICE (can't remember what the initials stand for) and came out a few years before the movies were even announced. I thought it was a really unique game that provided multiple ways to win including dunking the One Ring. Later expansions introduced the bad guys - wringwraiths - and allowed you to play against the good guys - hobbits. The basic game play revolved around your little group going from place to place around Middle-Earth collecting various items and characters for your entourage. Other players could play hazards against you to keep you from getting to a particular place or create a negative influence on certain characters. Gain enough influence and you won the game. The games were typically kind of slow but the idea behind it was really cool. Wringwraths were cool and in later expansions you could play a fallen wizard. I do not know anything about the Decipher version that is out. I know that it is based on the movie but that is about it. The original game also had some really great artwork for the cards.
