i'm completely confused by the concept of scanart. It's not art it's a framegrab with the background removed! Where is the 'art'? Where is the creative ability? Someone explain this to me please.

You have to manually outline and then fill in the scan. It normally makes things much cleaner and is very useful with websites.
If you just cut out an image, it can oten look terrible.

I found out that the grab is from AOI1 and I can't even remember it!

That's the end of AOI 1 where Fry destroys the universe. Also, the skin colour looks a slight bit off, but nice scan all the same!

What I'd recommend Impossible is to use other people's scanart for colour. Find one that looks right and use that. Once you have a picture you know is correct you can continue to use it for all your pictures. This is especially good for bender because many different colors of gray and bluish gray.

I've got a 'master' scan. It basically is a scan of each character with the correct colours, i then use them.

I must change the background colour!
Also I don't think I did Leela's wedding dress long enough, and I couldn't do the flowers well...

enjoy!

This was the first time I tried to draw Bender. I don't think I'll try again!
The picture was inspired by an advert for Liberty X's album or something.
At the moment I am scanning in a picture of Leela in bullet time.

I was pleased with this picture as it was a first effort thing.  smile

I did this picture the other day. I was really inpressed with the way it turned out. BUT I couldn;t create the effect that there are bullets firing at her  frown And I haven't had time to do a shadow.

And I like this one I did as well:

I've just noticed that her skin is 2 different colours!  smile

I'm not sure if it's meant to be like that, but i think you've overdone the shadow effect, lighten it up a bit. Otherwise, it's a nice pic, i couldn't do better.

I *did* go a bit made with the shadowing, only because I discovered the button which did it and I went "WOW!"
