Thought that I would start off this thread with only one picture :( I did plan to do more but I'm a little busy.

Anyway, here is Amy Wong relaxing on the beach. (Note I make the background... obviously)

I will requests but as you can tell, I'm not the best drawer. Also I would appreciate feedback, even the stuff that I could improve on. Thanks. :)

As I had expected, I'm not getting feedback but I'm still going to continue to draw. This time I asked the 'What if' machine... What if it was Amy and Fry together and they had a child? So I designed this.

Not the best picture as this was quickly done.

Could have also ben that most people weren't online;)
I like your Amy drawing! She's a bit stiff but the position is nice and the sizes are all correct(that's usually my biggest problem). Just.... where did her the rest of her arm go?
Sophie Fry is sweeeet! That skirt is adorable!

Her other arm is somewhere behind her back, might edit it later.

Thank you, Sophie Fry was originally going to be Fry and Leela's child but I thought 'Everyone draws kids for Fry and Leela, why not have one for Amy and Fry.'

Tyraniak Thank you.

Here is a different version of Fry, this didn't turn out the way I had expected in my head. I was hoping it would turn out like a dashing, cool sort of guy but we can't all be winners. I'm also aware that his shoulders are too broad and his face, well didn't really turn out the way I wanted.

EDIT: Don't know why the pictures are turning out terrible quality.

EDIT EDIT: Thank you to Taste Like Fry for helping me with the quality. :)

Okay, Sophie looks really cute :)
What I like best about the design:
Her parents are not that obvious. Upon first viewing, she looks like a generic baby.
Just upon further inspection, certain design traits originating from Amy/Fry become visible.
I really like that subtle approach :)

Thank you Hein, as you said I did try and make this baby look like a normal baby, no obvious outlines that definitely rules her out to be Amy and Fry's.

Glad you liked it :)

What program are you using and does it have a save as ".png" option?

I love your Amy pic <3

Thank you. :)

I'm using Paint.net and yes it does, does PNG make the quality better? Also realized that, that was a stupid question to ask.

EDIT: Found out that it does. Thank you so much, I'll update the pictures and re-post them.

Is paint .net an easy drawing program? Xause I use Photoshop CS6, but I'm having a hard time coloring the whole thing(the black lines change color when I draw behind them in another layer...

The only reason they might change color is if the opacity on the top layer isn't set to 100%.... that I can think of off the top of my head.

Any painting program you use will have a learning curve to it, but most offer similar toolsets (if you can figure out where such tools are hidden).  Paint.net seemed fairly intuitive as to where things were last time I used it... assuming I remember anything correctly.

Thank you. :)

PNG generally has a pretty good quality to it without information degradation, but that question is a lot more complicated than that and other formats have functions which they perform well at.

Also, your lines would probably look smoother if you turned on aliasing... assuming you're using the line tool.  Been awhile since I used Paint.net, but generally speaking I enjoyed their line tool.

If the black outlines are changing colour on another layer, you'll need to move that layer that you want to colour, under the black outline layer. If you get what I mean.

Paint.net is basically like Photoshop but with less buttons... I think anyway, it's also free.

My photoshop is free as well...

I know whta you mean, but the problem is a bit difficult to explain... I have put the color layer under the outline layer;)

.png is best save file.

Also, if you want a really good free art program, get gimp - it's like photoshop but free.

I was about to suggest Gimp. I use it and it's never steered me wrong.

and ditto for what's been said about the learning curve. Image manipulating software has tons of options, and sifting through them to find exactly the one you want can be difficult when you're unfamiliar with it.

I have downloaded Gimp and the next picture I draw will be drawn on that, it looks very confusing since I have no idea how to work it, but I guess I learn and watch tutorial videos.

Thank you for the help. :)

I still don't know how to use Gimp so this picture was drawn on Paint.net. My work had asked me to design them a new logo and this is what I came up with, obviously not related to Futurama and just the black and white copy.

You might of already seen this in the General Arts thread, well I decided to remove it from there and put it in my own.

I think the body has turned out okay but I don't really like the head.

So this next picture I got the idea from this Leela and I ''borrowed' this Fry for the basic outline. I am changing that Fry to make something like this...

Still not finished because I'm changing and adding stuff, also changed my signature from 'Lauren.S' to 'L.Smiles' But I was looking at random Futurama pictures and when I came across Leela against the glass, I decided that I would love Fry to be stuck in my iPod and since I could only find the one where he has turned into the girl, I wanted to make one.

Yet again I'm cheating, I didn't draw the book... obviously and I don't know if this is an actual quote but I wrote it in a fan fiction and I thought it was good. I got the picture from here. I would love to know if this is a quote that someone said or if I've just made it up, I would also like to give credit to Eternium, who without, I would never of thought to make this into a picture.

Double post!

Anyway it's been a while since I've drawn a computer drawing and I thought why not start by doing a illustration for a book I'm writing for fun.

Sure the shading isn't amazing and neither is the drawing but I enjoyed making it. The base can be found here.

I will get back to drawing some Futurama related stuff, but my work has asked me to design different things to go on the wall. This is a rough piece of something I'm doing, it's still not finished though.
